QSP - Family Reading Program TI Media Solutions Little kids selling magazines to family members Tampa, Florida
7th of Nov, 2011 by User336695
There are better ways for public schools to raise money than having small child-relatives email me, and having their parents write me: asking me to buy magazines I don't need. Its a waste of my time, a missed teachable moment for the kids and a waste of trees. The materials say the school gets 40% of the price. Sorry but I'm not giving anyone my credit card for something that obnoxious. But how am I supposed to tell this child-relative how obnoxious this is? The child is likely not going to understand the intricacies of this situation. Also, if they need money that badly, lets have them send me the budget and let me see if I empathize. Is this a PTA sponsored idea or school administration? Suggestion: Have the kids do jobs for elderly and donate the funds to their school.
