I have been victimized by a woman in the district of Strathcona County, Edmonton. The incident occurred back in Nov. of 2007, and we reported her at that time. I did not hear anything back from the Alberta SPCA at that time, and do not know if they took action or not. We did not know that this woman made a business of selling dogs and that many, many other people had also fallen victim to her practices. About a week ago I was looking for a male yorkie and responded to a few ads on Kijiji.ca. I was very shocked to discover that one of the sellers was the same woman who had destoyed our lives back in 2007. After contating several Yorkie breeders, I discovered that this woman has a reputation all across Canada for selling sick puppies to people and not giving the dogs in her care adequate health care. I have met this woman, when we bought a little yorkie female from her. She lives in the Edmonton area, I believe she lives on Baseline Rd. Ardrossan, AB T8E 1J3. Her phone number is (780) 922-7555 (Strathcona County) and she goes by Samyra Marcondes, Sam Binicki, or similar alias. At the time, we were hesitant about purchasing the little pup, because she didnt appear to be very bouncy and was very thin. Because Samyre had a recent vet certificate showing that she was, indeed healthy, we decided to buy her. We live in Caroline, and Samyre lives in Edmonton so she offered to meet us part way at McDonalds Leduc in the parking lot. We paid her the $600. cash and went on our way, vet card in hand.
On the way home, the puppy was listless and as soon as we got home, began pouring out diarrhea. We called Samyre, who refused to talk to us and told us to contact her veterinarian. We tried, but the clinic said that vet didnt work there anymore and also told us that Samyre was banned from their clinic because she had caused so much trouble for them.
We immediately took the puppy to the vet during emergency hours, and they found ONE of the illnesses the puppy was infected with and we began treatment on her. Because Samyre refused to tell us any information, the puppy was not tested for other problems and so continued to be ill. After several visits to the vets: Pioneer Vet in Sundre, and Gina McLauchlin, who had to come to our house and inoculate the rest of our dogs, it was determined that the puppy Samyre sold us was full of round worms, coccidia and giardia. The illness was transferred to our other yorkies, and the puppies we had died. We had purchased a registered male puppy for $1500. that died as well as two maltese/yorkie cross that both got sick one died and we were able to keep the second
alive. Between the vet bills, and value of the lost dogs, the monitary cost to us was about $3000. That was not the worst part. It was the trauma of having to deal with the deaths of our other puppies - especially the male that we had become so attached to - and the constant sanitizing and treating we had to do for a year after the incident.
The coccidia and giardia got into the soil. Disinfecting our house top to bottom was not enough. We had to constantly keep treating our adult dogs until we had enough hot, dry weather for the sun to naturally disinfect our yard. We were not free from the diseases until late in the summer of 2008.
When I recently discovered that this woman continues to sell puppies, I looked on the internet and discovered that there are many, many more victims who have bought sick dogs from her since she put us through absolute hell. I dont want to be involved with this woman, but I cant bear the thought of someone else having to go through the pain and agony that we did.
When I was not able to get much response from the SPCA ( I have not seen her place and cannot say that she is abusing her animals), I reported her to the Better Business Bureau. They informed me that she is in violation of the Animal Rights Act and that I need to go through the proper channels. I am at a loss. If she is not starving her animals, the SPCA cannot do anything. I cannot tell the police much what happened to us was long ago and would be a civil matter. I just know that this woman does not give her animals proper health care and that she sells dogs to people that are not healthy.

Oodles of people have fallen victim to this unscrupulous woman over a span of several years. Samyra uses poor defenseless puppies to make a buck, knowing that they suffer from ailments. Samyre is known by breeders all across Canada, and has hurt very many dogs and people with her unethical and immoral business practices. Anyone who loves animals should care, and if enough people complain to the authorities, hopefully she can be put out of business. She goes by alises: Samyre, Sam, Samyra, S. Binicki/Marcondes. She lives on Baseline Rd. Ardrossan, AB T8E 1J3 but she will NOT let you see her set-up. She will make excuses so that you cannot see the parents of the puppy and will arrange to meet you at someone else's house or in a parking lot. Don't be taken in!

| She used to sell French Bulldogs quite a few years ago. Same deal, met me at a mall in the parking lot so you cant see the filth these pups are raised in. The Bulldog cost me almost $3000.00 and was ill. She liked for 3 years with vet fees in excess of $5000.00. Its easy to spot her ads as she wont deal over email so there is no paper trail. All her ads demand you respond with your phone number so she can call you. She used to have her number posted and said no email phone calls only but people became wise to the number of dogs she had posted and began to wonder. Watch for yorkie ads that talk about Teddy Bear faces and Teacups and then demand your phone number. NEVER buy the dog if you cant see where its been living, and always DEMAND a written health guarentee for AT LEAST the 7 -11 days it takes for Parvo to show symptoms. Most decent breeders will honor that 7 - 11 day window. BUYER BEWARE. If anyone doubts that i am a real buyer ( and not affiliated with the above posters), comment on here and i will post photos of the dog and all the email correspodance from her before she got wise to not leaving a paper trail. The emails are signed Samyra and she leaves her old contact number which has the last 4 digits the same as her "new" phone number. Also since she insists on phone calls its quite easy to figure out the person you are speaking to lives in Strathcona County, Not Caroline and as such is not some other person ruining an innocent persons reputation. Samyra used to live right in Sherwood Park then moved out to more rural Strathcona County ( its probably tough to keep so many dirty dogs in the middle of town). I have a police report and Vet records and all the emails etc so if anyone wants hard proof that this is the same woman, different breed same story, i have it. |
