Prontocharger.com sent me a defect product, and after 4 months the company has not given me a refund.
A quick internet search shows that there are numerous customers experiencing similar problems with Prontocharger.com. The Better Business Bureau gives an F (worst) rating to Prontocharger.com. Prontocharger.com's practice is highly dishonest and deceitful, and the numerous reported cases suggest that Prontocharger.com is conducting a fraud scheme: They knowingly and intentionally send defect or incorrect adapters, and after the customers returned the products, they refuse to refund.
I purchased a laptop adapter on-line from Prontocharger.com. The first sign of problem was that they did not send me an adapter for two weeks although their website says that they ship within 24 hours. Nor did they notify me about this delay.
The cord sent along the adapter to connect the adapter to a computer did not even fit the adapter. The mismatch of the cord and the adapter socket was so obvious. It is highly likely that they sent these incompatible parts knowingly.
After I reported this problem to Prontocharger.com, a company rep said that they did not have a correct adapter and for a refund I had to sent the adapter back to them. I mailed back the adapter, but I did not hear back from them for weeks. When I contacted them again, they said they do not have record of receiving the adapter back.
I was already aware of numerous complaints against Prontocharger.com on various websites, and I got a delivery confirmation when I mailed the adapter. I emailed the delivery confirmation to Prontocharger.com, and they said they would process the refund. Then, nothing happens for two weeks.
When I contacted them again, they repeated the same phrase, they do not have record of receiving the adapter back. It is highly likely that this is the standard response that they give to customers whether they receive the products back or not. If the customer does not have a proof of shipment, Prontocharger.com probably lies about the receipt of the adapter and refuses refund.
Subsequentemail exchanges still have not resolved the case. Prontocharger.com now does not even take customer support calls and says that all complaints and inquiries have to be sent via emails or their web form. I suspect that they are receiving numerous similar complaints and they are trying to hide from those angry customers.
Their dishonest responses, as well as numerous similar complaints posted on various websites strongly suggest that Prontocharger.com is systematically conducting a fraud scheme in which they knowingly send incorrect products and refuse refunds. This company needs to be shut down. If you experience similar problem with Prontocharger.com, you should report it to the Texas Attorney General: |
