Primecast became the primary internet and cable service provider on Landmark at Mountain View apartment complex in Stone Mountain, GA when Landmark Residential took ownership of this property last year in February. The representatives from/for Primecast fail to tell the residents we would be obligated to a year binding contract with Direct TV if we had the cable services with their box installed and set up and that it would be an $180.00 cancellation fee if we decided to discontinue the cable services. When I spoke with reps from/for Primecast in person and by telephone. I inquired several times on many different occasions about the bundle package, the services and fees. I asked specific questions like how much would I be charged if I only kept the Internet, but not the cable. I was never told about any sort of cancellation fees for the cable, internet and/or telephone services at any of those different times even when I was inquiring about my bills. The cable service was awful, so I had no choice but to cancel it b/c I couldn't enjoy it. I wasn't told at that time about the early "cancellation fee" of the cable services Primecast states Direct TV charges, but when I spoke to a rep before Primecast gave me internet, telephone & cable services. They stated they're partners w/ Direct TV & all my cable services is through Primecast. Here it is almost a year later and Primecast sends me a bill for over $240.00 stating I owe Direct TV an early cancellation fee of $180.00. A week later, my internet service got suspended. When I called Primecast to tell them about the internet problem & told them it's on their end not mines. After calling back the 2nd time. That's when I had been told my internet service has been interrupted b/c I owe Direct TV $180.00. The CSR stated since I had the "bundle" package, if one part of my services falls under delinquent of payment, then it'll interrupt and affect all of the services I still had remaining. None of these stipulations had been told to me nor is it listed on Primecast's website. I specifically asked questions about cancelling any of the services I had w/ the bundle package and a couple of reps of/from Primecast stated I would just be charged full price for each of the remaining services. When I cancelled the telephone service w/ Primecast due to them overcharging me & not charging me what they had stated they would charge me. Primecast didn't interrupt my internet and/or cable services I still had w/ them. Primecast deception business practices is 100% illegal & fraudulent. Primecast lies to customers to get their business, then they'll through us all sorts of curve balls once we have their services. This company needs to be sued for fraud, deception, preditorial business practices, scamming, cunning, manipulation, false advertisement and other criminal/felony acts. |
