This Christmas I ordered charms for my 3 granddaughters ages 10, 12, 14. Silver charms are very difficult to find, so I was very thrilled when I found Pricerock through google. They have a fantastic selection of most any charm you could want with great prices. The fvery first page of their advertisement states that their main goal is to provide quality merchandise and 100% customer satisfaction. Great!!
So, taking them at their word, I ordered a soccer ball, ballerina, and gymnast. I was so surprised when the order got here and I opened the box expecting to find things I had ordered. The soccer ball was o.k. The ballerina was very, very thin silver, one side only with razor sharp edges and needle sharp shoes. Not only is this useless for anyone, but you certainly could not give it to a child. I began to get aggravated with it, and then last but not least came the biggest surprise of all. My gymnast CHARM was totally unrecognizable as such and was 3" long.
I spent all afternoon trying to contact the company, but no phone answer ever came. So I sent them an email explaining the situation and why I was sending the charms back for a refund. The following morning, the charming gentleman whom I tried to talk to immediately said, "we give no refund". I tried to reason with him and he became unexplicably rude and said "too bad you have to keep" and as I began talking to him again, he slammed the phone down. I called several times but they never spoke to me again. The responses I had were: no answer of phone; answer phone, say nothing and hang up. Thank goodness I had used my BAC credit card, so I turned it over to them as a dispute, told them my plight and advised them that the charms were packed and would be on their way to an address I got from google....signature required. They said to leave it in their hands from here and they were sure there would be a refund coming. By the way Pricerock's very vague attempt of a refund policy I could not relate. After their praising themselves for being so fair and anxious to please, way further down it says "no refunds...BUT if a refund is given, etc". I have since read on this Ripoff Report many almost exact stories....some were totally ignored and didn't pursue, while others were able to finally wrench the refund of their merchandise.
These people should not, never, no way still be in busieness, but since they are I think these Reports should be made available for prospective customers. I mailed my required "evidence" required by BAC package today and should hear from them next week. They did remove the charges from my account, and we expect things to stay that way. SHAME on professional business people treating trusting consumers this way.
