Hello my name is Chadwick and I reside with my family of five in Lake city, FL. I began dealing with prestige homes in the summer of 2007. I was living in a rv park in LC at Wayne's RV park when I met Alex the head salesman at prestige. When introduced to him I was told that he could get me into a home with the land I owned as collateral. I then proceeded to conduct business in the usual manner of honesty and integrity. I was only concerned with the bottom line and after being assured that the payments would be only 630 dollars a month I began signing all of the paper work. When trying to get a certificate of occupancy the head salesman Alex told me that I had to write an agreement with the county inspectors office to be able to obtain the certificate of occupancy or I would not be able to move into the home. With no other choice and no money to do the needed improvements I had to do their dirty work so I could have a place to live.( The home needed a concrete foundation and driveway.) At closing the first time I used my right to rescend because of the payment amounts increasing to 800 dollars. After speaking with an attorney Duane Thomas I came to the conclusion that I did not have the funds necessary to hire an attorney to dispute the differences in the contracts. So I went back to closing and signed it away reluctantly. The house was made poorly and is falling apart and after losing employment I have been unable to work with the lender 21st century mortgage company. I have tried working with them any way that I can and to no way to stop it I am going to the foreclosure hearing tomorrow. I am in complete dissatisfaction with the companies listed and their business ethics and don't want to lose my land. If there is a class action suit against any of these companies I would like to get involved. Oh yes everyone in the home has had illness related to the mold and spores due to the poor craftsmanship. |
