Over the course of several years, our companies' relationship with Premise had been acromonius at best, and constantly tense. The relationship between the IT manager for us at the time had a questionable ongoing association with the Technical staff at Premise, which initially was built to include a level of trust that was in place. At the recommendation of this Manager, who's skill set was obviously diminished, as they were unfortunately very trusting of the partner involved, our company investested well over a million dollars in IT infrustructure based on the Recommendations of Premise President (Head car salesman) Bob Nowels, and their internal Technical Sales and Support team. As our level of concern continued to rise regarding the most recent acquisitions, we brought in an outside expert in the same field as Bob Nowels and his team, to conduct internal audits and evaluations over the equipment that was implementated through Service Contracts and upgrades. The new audit brought to light years and years of manipulative and misleading Solution recommendations that provided no inherent value to the company, only to ensure Premise continued to receive monthly renewals based on misleading statements and forced sales tactics. The final straw came when the most recent equipment purchased for over 600k was not only outdated, but also non-upgradeable, as was expected. Bob Nowels knowingly declined to advised that the equipment was at end of life, and that could not be upgraded along the understood path as far as OS requirements. With that, the equipment was now obsolete and unusuable in its present state, after a year of use, to meet our company upgrade path requirements, though we were advised that that would be the case. We also were discovering that as we tried to untangle the mess that had been created by the Premise engineers, Premise had installed a set of their own "tools" that in a sense, kept the equipment under total Premise control remotely. Be advised that this "Premise Tool Kit" is a set of commands that apparently were written internally as a way to make many of the steps they do for maintenance and upgrades more efficient, without passing any of the savings to the clients. You are billed several hours of work at any given time, while they are actually working on other clients issues at the same time. The partnership was imediately terminated, and we are exploring all avenues for resolution, which could include litigation for possible fraud and illegal business practices. If you have any serious thought about working with Premise, Inc. in Clearwater, FL on any of your IT projects, run, don't walk, to your nearest local IBM Business Partner and discuss your findings with them. You will be amazed at your cost savings and solution requirements. This message is from many past and current clients that have all felt the sting of this company, and it's bully of a President. Good luck if you have to have any continued business dealings with him. |
