I placed an order for a 32G Apple Ipod touch on June 19th. The seller required payment by Green Dot Money Pak which is cash only. The list of retailers is provided by Premiertechsite.com. I linked to Premiertechsite.com from Amazon.com where they showed up as an external seller. Their web page has Yahoo eCommerce displayed to make it believable. Two Email confirmations of the order promises free shipping within 24 hours of payment and a UPS shipment tracking number.
I have tried email with one response, from someone named Kim. She reponded only because the Green Dot payment system was not operating at the time and to try again the next day. She promised if payment was recieved by 11am Pacific time on June 20th, the order would go out same day. I am out $180.00 and have notified authorities in California. The website looks very convincing but don't be fooled. Numerous attempts at phoning customer support goes into a voice mail box and are never returned. |
