premier fitness on kingsridge dr in dayton, oh is by far the most unprofessional and ridiculous fitness center within montgomery county. Prior to signing a contract, my wife and I won a free 30 day pass to their gym and we took it in and their way of you getting the free 30 days is to sign a two year contact and "get the first month free." I was also told by the manager, CHRIS CUNDIFF, that "by signing the contract, I will hold this until the following wednesday (as of 8/4/2011), TO ONLY LOCK IN THE V.I.P. COUPLE SPECIAL." "If you decide to cancel or aren't interested at all, please call me directly." I forcertain made sure before signing the contract that I wasn't interested in the contract being official, and also asked him if this is not locking me into anything? He said "NO, absolutely not, just please call before that wednesday." I called repeatedly, two days after our initial meeting and recieved his voicemail the first time; got forwarded the second time. I also called the actual center to get a hold of him and was able to reach the Head Fitness Consultant, and he ensured that he would call me back. Days went by, and due to my schedule, I was out of town until the wednesday of the contract deadline. I never herd anything back from Mr. Cundiff about when to come in and resign the contract "to him personally" since he's the one who signed me up. I took it in a few days later and confronted him of not returning my calls. He claimed that, "Oh, I never got your calls or messages from anyone, it's not my fault you should've brought the contract back in as stated within." When knowingly from our first meeting, he wanted me to make sure to call him prior to bringing in the cancellation form. So from this, he stated out loud in front of many members and personnel at the gym, "you are a liar, do not put words into my mouth!" Oh wait, and it get's better... Since he couldn't handle the fact that I was knowingly and confident that I remembered our conversation from the beginning, he suddenly got real flustered, gave me a dirty look and said, "GET OUT OF THE GYM BEFORE I CALL THE COPS TO HAVE YOU REMOVED!" Seriously!?!?! And after all that teenage drama I've endured from his unprofessionalism, he threw me a card to his corporate office and said, "let them handle it." SO PLEASE, everyone out there read this very carefully and other peoples complaints about this particular facility. If you win a membership sponsored by Premier Fitness, or their corporate office NATIONAL FITNESS, DO NOT COMMIT TO THEIR MEMBERSHIP! I was told many times from other trainers at other facilities that customers come to them from there due to poor customer service and falsification of promoting their memberships. They are rude, very nasty, and could care less about saving you money once you are locked in their facility. By the way, I did contact their corporate office and also wrote a five page complaint about my experience. All they told me they were going to do is forward it back to the fitness center manager I complained about (which CHRIS CUNDIFF is the titled manager), and there is nothing that they could do. And that I will also still have to pay for the 2 year membership, after all i've ensured with Mr. Cundiff. They will take your money, and could care less if the facility doesn't suit your familes needs. I'd much rather go to a gym that will assess what you are looking for and listen to what you have to say before signing anything. To conclude this: please do not be one of the many victims who have suffered from customer abuse that PREMIER FITNESS of DAYTON on KINGSRIDGE DR. bestows on many individuals who walk through their doors. |
