Powertec Fitness is an online only Total Gym Company with leverage systems instead of just the usual board. They offer free lifetime replacements but don't follow through. ie... salesman that lie. Well, I wanted to weight lift. I'm dealing with a fused back and 3 knee surgeries at age 51. I order it online and am told that it will arrive on Thursday, 2 weeks later, betwee 10am and 1pm. Well it arrives at 6:45pm through Cestas delivery. I own a clinic and meet the delivery driver. The 3 boxes are in good shape and wrapped. 2 of my staff wrap the boxes and put them in the back of my pickup and they are in good shape, no rips tears or anything. I go to open them up the next day. Opening perfect boxes and cutting away the plastic wrap just to open them and see that they are dented gouged and scraped. The warrant is lifetime frame so I assemble it, take pictures and expect to receive new parts like you would from an honest company. Well I talk with Beth Sugapong, Jamie Gabrell, and Mario Romero over the next 6 weeks, at least 4 times each. All 3 gave excuses that until the Boss gets back from China, we can't do anything. Then he got back and he was sick. Ghonorrea, Gongolea Shakes, or some disease they said. Then he went on vacation after his medical problems subsides. All the while Beth, Jamie, and Mario were saying that they are sending him emails urgently and he is on it. Well it looks like he's full of it. This is what they can do for the dent (baseball size), gouges 5 inches long, various scrapes and scratches: They can send me touch up paint in a tiny bottle and a little sticker to cover it up. That's all they are willing to do for an $1,100.00 weight lifting machine. To get it to look new, I would have to hire a painter, who would have to use bondo, primer, paint, and clear coat. Then I said " take it back"! They were a "no show" for pickup. They abandoned their product. Powertec has been intentionally misleading and deliberately remiss in their responsibilities. They have not been honest or constructive or in any way responsible or helping. Powertec has so much advertising that it's difficult to get to the heart of their real problems. I have found similar circumstances on bodybuilding websites that are exactly the same as mine without the Boss excuses but just others. That just must have been the one they were pulling out of the excuse basket that day. But all is not lost. My credit card company is on it. Hopefully they can prove effective. Customer service is bad at Powertec from the ground up. Hope is powerful when flexed. But I go with the same motto. Powertec cannot fix a problem, with the same minds at Powertec that created it! |
