Police Dispatch Inc. Firefighters Awards Dinner Police and Firefighter Charity SCAM Brooklyn, New York

Last year, after being contacted by two Police and Firefighter Charities I donated few hundred dollars to them and was promised in return an ad in their periodicals.
Both charities claim that they have nothing to do with each other yet both
members that contacted me had the same physical address in the email

PHONE: 718-732-7707 I have never received a copy of their periodicals (that are supposed to be distributed to all fire stations and police stations) with my classifieds ad printed in it . When I called them few times they always come up with excuses that the person responsible is sick or in the hospital or simply not in the office and will call me back later. I couldn't find any of these organizations in CharityNavigator.org.
They do not explain anywhere the specifics on the programs your donation will fund and how they will help local NY officers. They could not clearly specify how much of my money will go towards the officer program either.
Their cause may sound legitimate, but as far as I can see they do little or nothing to
contribute to the police and firefighters that donors believe they are helping.
