Worst customer service ever. I hope for you that you will never have to deal with the so called "management team" of this club, especially Amir Labouz. We are in this club called "Playhouse", located in Hollywood. We are a group of 3 people, plus 3 others that we just met. So what do you naturally do when you go to clubs ? You order drinks, that's right. Bar and bartenders were super busy (as usual for clubs). We finally get close enough to the bartender to be able to order. We order 2 Mai tai (rum, Curaçao liqueur, and lime juice). The bartender, super busy, is serving several other people in the same time. Once we receive our drinks, we decide to order 2 more. So far, no problem. A couple of minutes later we receive our 2 other drinks... and a bill for $90.00 Yes, $90 for 4 drinks. We immediately advise the bartender that he must have made a mistake. He tells us we ordered 6 drinks and that it was $90. We think "that's fine, mistakes can happen", so we politely ask the guy to change the bill. He says again that we ordered 6 drinks and that anyway it was already charged and we have to sign the receipt. He will not change his mind, he says he "remembers" 6 drinks. I mean, really ? this guy is working in this dark/foggy/loud club the whole night serving hundreds of people, and the only prove he has is his 100% absolute confidence in his brain ? We, on the other hand, have 6 people to witness the situation. We don't even touch the drinks and ask to talk to the Manager. The "manager" this night was Amir Labouz. This guy is NOT helpful and absolutely stubborn. He only believed what the bartender told him. He just kept saying that we were not coherent (aka drunk), when again, most of us were not. The only compensation we got after a long bargaining is some coupons (2 or 3 I don't remember) for free drinks. We don't accept them and we ask again for a refund. He said that he couldn't issue refunds at all. I mean, what kind of company cannot issue refunds ? We are starting to lose patience. After all, we come here to have a good time and they don't make any effort to solve the mistake THEY made. We even asked to see what the camera had recorded, but nothing. We went outside to talk to the first policemen we could find to try to solve the problem. The manager, seeing the seen, called a friend and tried to argue against us in front of them (when again, both of them weren't even there when the event actually occurred). Eventually Amir Labouz lost his patience as well and started to talk more aggressively. He gave us his card, told us to call the "corporate office" and left with the receipt and the Credit Card. Which means that we need to cancel the card and ask for a new one. The next day we called the Bank to dispute the transaction. They had added a tip for $18 on top of the $90. Thank you Playhouse. We will never return there again. And you can be sure that this is not over, we won't stop until we get our money back. |
