Pivitol Payments Fradulent sales tactics Internet |
15th of Nov, 2011 by User132519 |
My business was overcharged by another credit card processing company (will not name that company here). Signed up with another credit card processing company in April, 2011 and canceled our service the the 1st credt card processing company. I noticed we were still being billed from the 1st credit card processing company and I called them and they stated they never received my letter of cancelation, but refunded the overcharges anyway. I received a call from Pivotal Payments today, wfrom a gentleman (goes by the name of David) who said he was calling about my credit card processing overcharges and wanted to look into them further for any hidden charges. I asked him if his call was a solicitation call, he stated that it wasn't, he just wanted to further investigate our charges and asked me to email him a copy of our last statement from the credit card processing company that overcharged us. Before I did this, I looked this company up on the internet (Pivotal Payment) and found out they are a credit card processing company and he wasn't concerned about my overcharges, what he wanted was to see my rates that I was getting for credit card purchased from my customers. We do not wecome solicitation calls over the phone and obviously he knew that solicitation over the phone doesn't work well so he lies about what he is actually doing. I have no idea how he found out we were overcharged by another credit card processing company. Be warned, if Pivotal Payment calls your company in regards to problems you've had with another credit card processing agency, they aren't trying to help you. The want to see your credit card processing statements to find out your rates and if they can get them lower than your current rates, they will solicit you and if you fall for it, you are obligated to stay with them for at least 2 years, as you are required to sign a 2 year contract. I made sure that both our credit card processing companies that I have had, there are no contracts. Pivotal Payments is soliciting business under false pretenses. |
