Pinnacle Property Solutions, LLC, uses expensive video and print materials and an inspiring speech by the CEO, Rusty Shields, to convince people saving for retirement to invest in worthless properties. Promising to market and manage the property you buy, and even promising an opportunity to do good in the world with their "proven" method of selling the property to people who might not qualify for a mortgage, they do almost nothing to follow through. I bought property in 2009, and never heard one word from them until March, 2011, when they sent a form letter about why I might be unable to pay the delinquent taxes in these hard times! It took until August 25, 2011, for me to receive my first tax bill. It came after intense campaigning on my part with calls, emails, and even a website that I began to attract other victims. It was included in registered mail with a lot of legal forms informing me that Pinnacle was "resigning" as the trustee for my property, without any prior notice. I am not sure which laws they have violated, but I know this cannot be acceptable. I've talked to other victims of Pinnacle. One bought numerous houses and considered herself lucky to lose her entire investment, and not end up owing more! North Carolina is reported to be investigating them. Rusty Shields has a criminal record and a company he was partner in was issued a Desist and Refrain order by the Department of Corporations in California related to another real estate scam.
