Chicago based Phoenix Media Corp is back from their old identity aka Schofield Media aka Business Media Publications. These people are up to their same old tricks calling companies bilking them for advertising in magazines that are 100% fake. This company uses false subscriber numbers and trumped up statistics to rely on "duping" small & medium business owners. As usual, they go after business's usually mom&pop business's because these small business's do not have pr departments or advertising agencies. This is the same company doing the same thing using a new name so they can sell more ads. If you do just a small amount of digging on this company you will and should refuse to do any business with them. here are some of the names they use: Schofield Media Business Media Publications Mayfair Business Media SMG Media BMP Media Redcoat Publishing Construction Today Magazine American Executive Retail Merchandiser Energy Today Energy & Infrastructure Magazine Education Executive Magazine B&C Canada Magazine Building & Construction Canada |

They are being sued by former employees because they skipped out on paying them any money when they closed down. Those assholes are evil! |

Chris Schofield and his Brother Andrew Schofield are some dirty bastards. They closed down their old operation high atop the AON building to save money. They claimed that they lost financing through their bank which was total BS. If these people contact you or your business you should decline right away to deal with them. All of their magazines are F.A.K.E. ! Non of the magazines are audited and worse yet, they scour the web everyday looking for negative postings and work a fever pitch in having them removed.
Avoid this company at all costs' and if they contact you for advertising, laugh at them.
If you are planning to work for them, find another company to work for. |

I worked my tail off for these people and at the end they refused to pay me, making excuses for the quality of the material which they published anyway.

Hello. Some notes regarding your last invoice:
I did not ask for GID to be double-length, so I will pay you the standard $200.
I was not satisfied with the writing quality of Goodyear Peru. It will require a complete rewrite by another editor. I cannot pay you $400 for the draft; however, I appreciate the time you put into it so I will pay you $200.
John
The guy that is supposed to be a bilingual editor speaks not spanish whatsoever, so all the Spanish assignments have to be written in English as well, even thou that they never publish them, but they would not pay for everything.
When I complained I never heard from them again. They are a bunch of scammers.
Freelance writers beware these company, gives a bad name to writers anywhere.
They claimed a large circulation in South, Central America including México but is not true. |
