Phantom Jet Boat did not perform as advertized and the manufacture will not warranty their product. Beware, once you purchase the boat you are stuck with it. HardKor - their hull protection (HardKor) does not protect against impact as they claim. It will peel off and damage the hull. They claim abuse to avoid warranty coverage. Mercury Engine - Mercury does not warranty their engine in the Phantom Jet Boat, so you are stuck with no warranty if something happens. We purchased a Phantom Jet Boat and performed a test with only 3 hours on the boat. The Hardkor failed and the hull was damaged. Phantom stated we abused the boat. We paid to send it back if they agreed to correct the defect. They finally agreed and the boat was returned. They stated it would be repaired like new and extra HardKor coating would be added to prevent future problems. Our first test after the "like new condition with upgraded Hardkor bottom" and the Hardkor failed again and started to seperate. We contacted Phantom and we were told once again that we abused the boat. We then discovered that the coating was thicker in some areas and looked like is was put on with a puddy knife. The boat sits 10" in the water because of the added weight and it bounces as you ride across the water because of the incorred HardKor repair. Phantom did not correct the problem and only made it worse. Please read their marketing material and watch their youtube videos to see their deceptive claims. If you are only using the boat for deep waters you will be fine, but you can purchase a boat much less that will perform much better. Phantom will not warranty their product when it does not perform as they claim. Consider other alternatives before purchase this boat.
