I went to People Helping People because I answered an ad in Craigslist stating that they were interviewing people for jobs at their office. They said that they had just opened the office and were looking to staff their Florida offices.
When I asked them about what kind of jobs they had available, they said they were a huge nationwide company and had numerous positions that I might "qualify" for.
Well, it all sounded like a load of BS to me but, I needed a job to support my wife and kids so I went on in to see what it was all about.
I got there and there was a lot of music playing and everyone was smiling and asking me what I did for a living. This really pissed me off because I wasn't doing anything for a living. I was there to get a job and they knew it.
When I asked for the guy that invited me it turns out he wasn't there. His name was Chet. He probably gave me a fake name too.
So, the music is loud. I can't even think. They put me in a room with 6 or 7 other people and put be through a BS powerpoint about becoming a business owner and how they are going to save America.
I was steaming mad during the whole presentation and a couple of other guests weren't to happy either. They finally get done with the presentation and I tell them I want to leave so, they ask me to wait a minute and they have me sit down with a manager.
Man, I felt like I was buying a used car. I was just waiting for the moment when they ask me for money and I was right. They asked me to pull out my debit card to pay $150.00 to join the company. I told them I didn't have enough money in my account because I had to save it for paying my mortgage. They told me that I should skip a payment cause everyone else does and invest in my future.
That scared the living crap out of me so, I ran out there as fast as I could.
I tried to tell my story in Ripofreport and Yelp but it never showed up on their website. I think somehow People Helping People is may be paying them off to hold back on all negative comments about their company.
I ended up on this site and hope they haven't been bought off my People Helping People. The word has got to get out there about this company. They are misleading innocent and naive people and taking advantage of them.
Do your research before to give this company any money.
Also, from the what I have seen from other sites with bad reviews about People Helping People is they always come back with a good answer and how everyone reporting their activities a misinformed. It's a lot of BS. Don't believe anything these guys say or write down.
