Peachtree is company that is a big time ripoff. My Husband went to them to sell part of his annuity and was told by peachtree that they would handle his case. He was told he had to go to court and it had to be approved by a judge. Peachtree wrote up the paper work on what he would receive from their company minus the legal fees 1200.00,administrative fees plus life insurance fees 5000.00 dollars. Well once we went to court and the attorney that represented Peachtree felt that the judge was not going to grant the approval he then ask the judge could he not make his decision right away the judge said yes he would take a few days. The laywer contacted Peachtree and they told him that they were willing to waive the lawyers fee's and that he needed to fax that information to the judge soon as he got back to his office the laywer told us that amount would be added to my husband's settlement but of course Peachtree claims they have no knowledge of that but they were going to waive half of the lawyers fees. The paper work also stated and was discussed in court be the judge that my husband was settling his annuity for 10 years and that he would still receive a portion of his annuity each month. Well Peachtree received two payments for Feb and March of 2011 and my husband has yet to receive his portion. Not only that he only receive part of his money from Peachtree he is still awaiting a few thousand dollars they claim that they put that money in escrow until they received his first payment from his annuity company this was never discussed in all the conversation that we had with Neil from Peachtree. Well guess what they received two payments and not only did he not receive the rest of the money Peachtree owe him but he still have yet to receive the two payments for Feb and March. My husband called his annuity company on 4/4/2011 and was told that he annuity payments were being sent to peachtree for the full amount and that he was not to receive any other monthly payment from them according to the paper work they received until the 10 year period was done. He called Peachtree and spoke to Neil who handled his account and was told that his payments each month would be coming from Peachtree because the annuity companies don't like to send out to separate checks one to Peachtree and one to my Husband. Well my husband told Neil that he have yet to receive the remaining portion from the settlement let alone the partial monthly portion that was agreed upon. Neil stated that they received the payment the end of March and he should get his partial payment three days later. This is 4/7/11 and still no partial payment nor the money they claim was put into Escrow until they received the first check from the annuity company. My husband is contacting a laywer and going back to the judge that awarded the settlement to obtain the transcripts. Please people do not deal with this company. I tried to discourage my husband because you take more of a loss than what you gain out of the deal and look at him he is still waiting on his money. Now all were getting from this company is the run around but were not done with them yet we have only just begun our fight back. |

My daughter was 18 yrs old and had a trust coming to her. She went to peach tree and they gave her $35, 000 to her. in the end she will have paid them $140, 000 of her money to them. she was only 18yrs old at the time, and did not ask any body for info. I believe they took advantage of my daughter and now she gets nothing for 30 yrs. her trust agreements stated she was not to sell, transfer, or borrow against it, yet this company did allow her to do that. She is now 30 yrs old and still does not get anything from this..not even a good credit report that she has paid this company on her credit report... was Peach Tree's actions legal? |
