| PCS making threats against my social security number Internet |

Phone numbers +0000000000 and 1-000-000-0000 started calling my cell phone at 10:30am on 5-11-2011. I did not answer the first call but a woman saying her name was Mary Jackson with a strong middle eastern accent left a message saying a case had been filed against my social security number and that I needed to call 347-441-0578 to avoid any further action and that she would be contacting my place of employment as well as my family members.
I called the number that was asked of me to call and a man saying his name was James Connor again with a strong middle eastern accent answered saying that it was a law firm I was calling and said that Mary Jackson was unavailable and that he was her supervisor and he would be helping me. There was a lot of noise in the backgroung and I became suspicious about it being a law firm since it sounded more like a busy call center. He asked me for my phone number to look up my "account" so I gave it to him.
He asked me not to interupt him while he was telling me what was going on and to ask questions after he was done talking. He began to say that I had gotten a loan online and gave me my email address on what the loan was set up with. I only set up my email address a couple of months ago and had never received a loan online. He finished by saying that I would need to pay $300 to settle this or it would go to the courts in Austin. He also said my social security number and said that if I didn't settle this by a credit or debit card only that he would procede further and that a hold would be put against my social security number and all benefits I was receiving would end.
I asked him to email documents confirming this supposably loan along with his info (address of company, name, main phone number) and he said he was not at liberty to do that. I also asked for an address to send a money order to because I wasn't comfortable with using my debit card over the phone and he said credit or debit card only.
I became very suspicious and hung up. I googled the 347 number and it has fraud, scam, and extortion all over it. After I hung up the 0 numbers began calling my phone again and family members as well back to back. I answered a last time to ask them to stop calling and was filing fraud against them.
They have not called my phone since but later called my boyfriend's phone with the same story against him. My boyfriend told them that they had called me erlier that day and with the same story of a loan online and told them to not call his phone again. The man on the other end became angry and hung up. |
