Payless Car Rental
Payless Car Rental Shady, Deceptive, uncomfortable, unwilling to correct problem. Payless uses clever and deceptive methods to charge you way more t

Be careful when renting cars with Payless car rental. They use very deceptive practices to trick you into buying "full insurance coverage" for your car rental. I recently booked a car through Expedia for 3 days, totaling $57.00 for the entire 3 days. I arrived late to the airport and waited on the VERY slow payless shuttle to pick me up.

I was pulled out of line and taken into a back room, where I felt very uncomfortable. I ended up signing a rental agreement that cost me $237.08 - MUCH more than the 57.00 I booked through Expedia. The total said - "deposit".

I asked if this was a deposit, and if I would get that money back upon returning the car? The gentleman said yes. This was b.s. and I got "taken". After calling the corporate office..... nothing. They basically told me - "too bad, you signed". It's a scam. I have NEVER experienced this with any other car rental service!!

On top of that, I was extremely uncomfortable. The manager who processed my "agreement" insisted that I leave my luggage in a hallway where I could not see it. I was alone with him in the back of the rental area. Two men were at both ends of the hallway. It was late at night, cold, dark, and rainy. I was very uncomfortable.

The manager was a "pro" at diverting my attention. I was so scared to be alone, that I just wanted to get out of there. He mentioned something about full coverage and I said, "yes". This is while I am looking over my shoulder to make sure I was safe. I was assuming that he was speaking of my own insurance. I signed the paper because I wanted to get the heck out of there. I glanced down and the form said - deposit- $237.08. I asked him if this was just the deposit and he said yes. I was wrong and I was scammed.

After several conversations with corporate, they basically told me - "too bad, you signed the paper".
