Passport Motors John Sadri Vehicle not as described plano, Texas |

I purchased a vehicle from Passport Motors that I found on-line through Cars.com. It is a 2008 BMW with 25,000 miles on it. Because they are in Texas and I am in New York, I relied on the pictures posted on-line and the word of the salesperson, Amber, that I was dealing with. I asked Amber if there were any scratches on the car that I could not see in the pictures. She said there were a couple on the trunk lid but she would have her shop buff them out. She called back to say that they had indeed been able to buff out the scratches. When the trucking company, hired by Passport Motors, delivered my car, I was quite surprised to find approximately 10 scratches around the car. The disturbing part was that Amber had signed of on the trucking companies paperwork that each scratch was there when they picked up the car from Passport Motors lot. When I called her and asked her about it, she just brushed it off saying that the trucker was being very picky. I also pointed out that there was no owners manual and no DVD for the navigation system. She then said that she would have her manager John call me to resolve my issues. I never received a call from him. I called Amber back several times asking her why he did not call me. She kept saying that she would ask him again to call. Approximately three weeks after I had initially sent them payment for the car I finally received an Email from John ( he never did call as promised ). It stated "This vehicle is sold as is ...... this was the condition of the car at the time of purchase also we do not guarantee books & navigation CDs." I did eventually receive a navigation CD in the mail from them, but not until after I had already purchased one along with an owners manual. Numerous requests for reimbursement for my having to purchase these couple items and have the scratches taken care of, have gone unanswered. |
