I was scheduled to meet Tricia Sanders (A THIRD PARTY AGENCY THAT WORKS WITH PANGEA REAL ESTATE) at one of Pangeas properties1149 N Leclaire. I had already spoke with jerrod and Jospeh at Pangea and was approved. After I was satisfied with the unit me and Tricia went back to the zone office to have my credit check done and to sign the lease and submit my check stubs. I was told I was approved and the lease was signed I gave a 300 money order to Pangea and was told that the 760 goes to Tricia Sanders I advised them I wasnt intending to move in until 3/17 and was told that I can pick up my keys on 3/15 which Is my lease start date. I then called the utility companies as well as did my change of address and had my furniture to be delivered. On 3/14 I recieved a call from an agent from pangea who claimed that I was not eligible to get the unit because I didnt have enough income that I would have to take a unit that was 750 and heated or add more income. I advised her that I was scheduled to pick up my keys the following day and asked how much more income did they need. She said she didnt know and I told her that I recieve 134 in SSI was that enough... after a email was "sent" she said that no that wasnt enough but never disclosed the amount needed to meet the requirements. It was then when I decided to add my boyfriend Mike Sampson to the application. I was told by Joseph that he would have to do a verbal credit check and that as long as any criminal convictions are older than three years he would be ok. He was approved over the phone and we were told bring in his check stubs and his id so he can sign the lease and I can still get my keys 3/15. On 3/15 i went to the zone 3 office with Mr Sampson to submit what they needed and to sign the lease the agent said it would be a while as she would need to rerun the credit and reprint the lease. A second lease was printed and I signed the lease and called Mike to return to the office to sign the lease when he made it back to the office we were informed that Mikes application was denied due to his background. I then asked the agent for a refund and was told that she had to send a email and that its takes 24-48 hours before I would be issued my money I was also told tht the entire amount would be refunded back to me and that at the earliest my check will be in the office by Monday I called the office that Tuesday and was told that the check had not been processed and to call back Thursday. I called that Wednesday and was told the check was available and the amount was 300 I spoke with Elanor at Pangea who advised me that Pangea is not responsible for paying the 760 since I didnt make the money order out to Pangea and Tricia Sanders was the representative that showed me the unit. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and then contacted Tricia Sanders in regard to the rest of my refund. On Thursday 3/28 expressed my issue to Tricia explaining the severity of my living situation I was advised that she would contact Pangea and would get back in touchwith me after meeting with theVP of Pangea Friday. On Friday there was still no resolution and on Monday after speaking with tricia and was informed that at minimum I would have to wait an additional 2 weeks I contacted Ms Lorraine Mays from the Schultz and Peterson Law Firm. After severalnphone calls between Ms Mays Pangea and Tricia Sanders I was again told that it would be up to 2 weeks before I recieved my funds. I in turn called Joseph at Pangea and explained the situation in which he stated that Pangea wasnt rssponsible for the redund and that it was Tricia Sanders who has to reimburse=3DA0 my money. He also stated that he spoke to Tricia and was fully aware of the situation and that he doesn't understand why its a problem with the refund and that Pangea did what they were suposed to do. I in turn recieved a call from Tricia who stated that Pangea claimed I was denied to an eviction which was impossible when I just recieved an eviction notice 3/10. I then recieved another call from pangea in regard to the claim from BBB and the call was recorded where I explained the situation again and when asked if I felt Pangea resolved the situation my answer was no because I still as of yet do not have my 760 and that Pangea is still partially responsible when they work with the third party agent which means theyre still affiliated with Pangea alsov they failed to do their job and had me sign a lease twice for a unit I never occupied |
