Orange Coast Chrysler Jeep Dodge - Costa Mesa California Ryan McCulloch Deceptive Business Practices Internet, Internet
28th of Sep, 2011 by User456675
A few months ago, I purchased two vehicles from Orange Coast Chrysler Jeep in Costa Mesa, CA after receiving in the mail their "2nd Chance Financing Program" pamflets. At first the service and customer care was amazing. We were promised the sun, moon and stars. When we were ready to sign the paperwork, the initial $0 down payment, changed to massive down-payments. I was told that they would take post dated checks for the down payments, but not to worry, since they would hang onto the checks for as long as I needed. Needless to say, the beginning of their deceit and lies!!!! Shortly after I drove of the lot, the first car had problems. Since I "purchased" additional warranties, I called. Now I was told that those warranties would not be honored since I have not made my down payment yet. I was shocked. No more the friendly, "we will hold onto these for as long as you needed". I had the repairs made out of my own pocket, and requested those be deducted from my down payment. Shortly after that, the "check engin" light came on. Again, I inquired about my purchased warranty. Again was told that it would not be honored because my down payment remained outstanding. Keep in mind, in the meantime, the financing companies distributed close to $50,000 in financing to this dealership!!! Then the horrendous threats started!!! EVERYDAY my family and friends were called and told that I did not pay the down payment yet. Then my work was called, my HR department was called, my wife's employer was called (my wife did not purchase a vehicle) and the harrassment continued. Then I was threatened with the police, the DA and finally, I had enough. So I said, take your cars back, refund my monthly payments I made to the financial institutions and be done!! This was NOT acceptable to this dealership and its employees. O NO, they decided that they would reposses the car, threaten my teenage son with arrest, then this maniac of a manager, Ryan McCulloch jumped in the car, drove over the center island and pavement to get away, while yelling out of the window "see you later"!!!! Buying from this dealership is not worth your time and money. They are friendly until you purchased. They deceive innocent car buyers and even the banks that finance these vehicles. I cannot emphasize enough that you need to run and NEVER buy from them. Your life will be turned into a living hell and you will be harrassed with threats non-stop until you are ready to give in. DO NOT let this happen to you, be cautious, DO NOT be fooled by the fake smiles and "great people", those great people turn into tirans the moment you leave the lot with your new purchase full of problems. You are worth less than the paper your name is written on. They prey on people that come out of bankruptcy and want to make a new start. There is truly enough honest decent dealerships to choose from, and no consumer should have to stoop to this level in order to buy a new car. It is simply not worth it. Forget trying to complain on Dealer Rater, there they simply delete your "review". It is ALL a bunch of lies and jokes. NONE of their reviews are accurate, and those people that made those "positive" reviews don't exist in reality. The multitude of negative reviews are deleted so that nobody can see it!!!! Run now!!! They are very concerned about their BBB Rating and CSI Rating, complain and make sure your voice is heard, you have a voice, stop other people from falling prey to this dealership, Ryan McCulloch (small man syndrome), and its management. They are not on your side, and just want the deal!! In order to get it, they will deceive and lie, cheat and con their way into it!!!

Please note this buyer has defrauded the dealership by writing checks from closed account.
He made his first payment to one bank and there were no funds available in his account so checks were returned. Dealership had to pay the bank back as he defaulted on his payment
People like this who feel can defraud the system should be put behind bars not allowed topurchase even anything.
