Onyum
Onyum convoluted, reduntant, disorganized, offshore? Internet

So I read their instructions carefully and uploaded all the files they asked me for including all the HTML and CSS for the site I wanted, about 80% complete. I also made the accounts they requested and gave them the "access" they required for the website where the files would actually reside.

After a week they had done 4 hours of work and they never even bothered to look at all the files I carefully compiled an uploaded and didn't ask any questions about the instructions I sent. Why have me do all the work to upload the files and then NOT LOOK AT THEM. I kept waiting for the questions that should have come and asked to make sure that my instructions were clear. They didn't have time for that...

The service rep tried to pass it off like it was somehow my fault and never explained how it is that they never looked at the files. Then he started complaining that I hadn't given him "access" and asked me repeatedly for the same information that was in the file I originally uploaded for them. Again, he made it seem like it was my problem, when I gave them all the information up front and the information I ultimately gave him was the exact same. The guy was being a dork and refused to go look and see that I had already given it to him. Again, why make me go through all the hassle of uploading files that you never look at. Didn't save me time or money.

The attitude was the worst. Not a single apology for not looking at the HTML and CSS files I sent, and no explanation, either. Then they jerked me around for a few more days, knowing I was on a deadline. Michael even said I shouldn't be concerned, and told me not to work on my own project or they weren't going to continue working on it. I told him I would stop working on it and I did, but fortunately I didn't believe him and found that day.

Then I get an email from them, they are sorry "Production" didn't have time to do the work. So much for me not being concerned and very glad I found , first!!! I knew they were going to drop the ball, I could feel it from their snotty attitude. From the looks of it and the emails I was getting in the middle of the night, it is hard for me to believe that these people are in Oregon or understand plain English very well.

It was a beginning to end fiasco and they had no sense of "customer service".

They said they weren't going to "hold my money hostage" but they held the project and didn't do squat on it after I deposited $600 in an account for a simple web page.

I can see making a mistake, but they weren't at all concerned about it or in any rush to fix it.

They were very very very very sloooooow and did crappy work to boot. Run....

I refused to post payment bcz not only did Onyum smell fishy but their attitude is unprofessional as well.
They didn't read my post bcz they're first bid was something like "We've read your post and we can provide your needs, sample pages, contact forms etc." WOW. My post is about a business logo and that's it. No websites building services. Keep reading bcz it gets even worse. They direct you to their website www.onyum.com and to their "FAQ" page.. They say they are from the US but their IP address points to a UK server.

The IP address of www.onyum.com is 74.204.173.240
The IP address 74.204.173.240 is assigned to Great Britain (UK)
http://www.selfseo.com/find_ip_address_of_a_website.php

Their domain is registered through GoDaddy with private whois. So far no real identity established. I keep ignoring everything and carry on with the deal. After exchanging a few tickets regarding file type to be received etc. I was sent to this site to make a payment: http://www.payoneer.com/
Visit Payoneer's wiki and it's a legit company. However, they cater mostly to Russian and Asian countries. It also does not require a bank account for you to accept money (perfect for scammers!)
I was asked by Onyum staff (Lynne) to use this email for payment: [email protected]
If you would visit mywebstarsinc.com it points to a single page stating that mywebstarsinc is in Wyoming, USA. Disregard all the typos on that page and just trace the domain and guess what.. another UK server.
The IP address of mywebstarsinc.com is 74.200.91.250
The IP address 74.200.91.250 is assigned to Great Britain (UK).
The site has an Authorize.net badge that sends you to a reseller account with an address in Beaverton, OR! Didn't they say they were from Wyoming?! Riiight!

I replied to the ticket by saying that I refuse to use that payment method and would need to stick to more known companies like Paypal. Lynne replied to say that Payoneer is a big company and that they do not accept Paypal. Keep in mind that you don't need to provide a bank account to use Payoneer which means no identity to be traced.
Onyum's website has no phone number or address. They have placed a TM sign on Onyum. I asked for their company's tax/license number and that's where I got blocked from their site. They didn't want me to copy anything but I have Fraps on all the time. I took screenshots of everything and extracted a pdf copy of the tickets before I closed/refreshed the page using a firefox addon.
