Scratched my car during installation but refused to acknowledge it. |

I took my brand new Subaru Outback here on December 24 to get the clearshield put on.
Before they started working my car, they insisted that they wanted give my car a wash --- by hand! I just bought the car in the morning! The dealer already washed it! I never let people wash my car because the scratches are easy to be put on. Well, they would not listen to me even though I repeatedly yelled in their shop that "stop watching my car!" Eventually, they put on A BUNCH of scratches on the hitchback door, front bumper, rear bumper and the side molding. I at first saw the gashes on the rear hitchback door before I left the shop. But the mechanic flat out denied they were caused by them!! I had to pay another body shop an hour of labor to have the scratches buffed out! Then 2 weeks later, I noticed a bunch of scratches they made to the plastic bumpers, side molding! I emailed The Operations Manager Mary Bolduc and again, she flat-out denied it and asked me if I wanted to be referred to her company's attorney for a resolution!!
On another note:
I was extremely worried that they would cut into the paint of my car. Mary Bolduc told me over the phone before I went there that all the clearshield kits were pre-cut and they would not cut by hand after the clearshield was put on my car. Well, when they started working on my car, they started to cut the film with razors after the clearshild was put on the door edges. I asked them why the strips was not pre-cut, Mary had the excuse: "well, this 2013 has a different cut." Subaru has not changed any designs on Outbacks since 2010!! The strips on the door edges were jagged with different lengths.
If you want to see the scratches they made to my car, email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to email you the scratches they left on my car. |
