OMAHA STEAKS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Internet |
27th of Feb, 2013 by User744970 |
On completing my order I was advised on delivery date. It arrived on the day but at 7.30 PM just as I was about to leave the house. I asked the delivery guy how long the box could be kept before un-packing and was told to do it immediately as it had been in his van all day! I did not have time to do this so refused delivery. I contacted the company explaining the situation and indicated that at no time when ordering was I advised that the delivery could be anytime until 9 PM... that's what they then told me. Had I known this, I would have requested a different delivery day as I had pre-arranged plans for that evening. I have never had any mail/phone orders ever delivered to my home after 6 PM. Customer services said they would re-send the order for which I thanked them. Then a little later I recieved a call saying they could not resend. I then asked to speak with the supervisor who clearly did not wish to speak to me directly. I was advised by the representative that she had been told if they resent it I could not return the package for any reason. So I questioned what I should do if the food was delivered and not properly frozen? I was told I would have to keep it! So under these circumstances, I requested my money back. Whilst this has now been done, I do believe that the ordering department should be far more explicit about their delivery times i.e. how late it maybe in the day. Also I think consumer rights should be protected and not made to accept food delivered in a poor state; this maybe quite feasible if kept in a Florida transportation van. Finally, the offers appear to be reasonable in price until they then tell you the exorbitant amount it costs to send. This was my first time of ordering from Omaha and the experience has not been good. It means they have lost me as a future customer and I am sure when I tell friends they too will think twice about this company. |
