Do they have good computer skills? Whenever I click a link to 'reviews' or 'complaints' for this company, I get redirected to yellowpages websites, and all sorts of other various websites, but my computer seems to have no viruses. Only finally got here because I was persistant and kept clicking.
They phoned us, told us they were affiliated with Enbridge and made it sound as though they were a government agency that was providing free energy audits.
At the very least, we're on the Do Not Call list. Is this permissible? Have they ever been fined for misrepresentation? |

I am sick and tired of being told(over the phone) some of my appliances are over 8 yrs.old and need to be changed according to goverment regulations. How dare they tell me what I need to do in my own home?.I am well aware of what I need to do in order to save energy and that does not require a change of any
appliance over 8 yrs, old. They say that they have been authorized by the government to nose around and tell people what need to buy.For instance, a furnace that is 10 years old, cleaned and inspected every year with a worrenty of 25 to30years should be changed.
I hope that persons responsible at government level will investigate this outrages scam.If and when the time comes to purchase any appliance for my home I will do so through a person who has my best interest at heart and not by someone with false inuendos to do their money grab.
Besides all that, are we not supposed to go green?Have you thought for a moment if everyone would change all their appliances after 8 years where this discarded rubish would end up? |

^ I worked that job, we were forced to say ontario energy and leave out the word group. I'm very sorry about that. I was fired for literally no reason and given little to know training what so ever. They literally handed me a script and told me to read it. On friday my boss told me he's listen to my calls and then tell my by Monday if I still have this job or not. These people are scam artist. I regret ever working for them. They won't allow me to come get my check. I'm going to the ministry of labour this week to file a complaint. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY |

Yes all companies do get compaints on BBB, but reputable companies dont have a F rating. So since it seems to me that all positive responses are most likely from employees or managers of this business then why even deal with a door "salesmen" or this company? It has been stated, people should do price and warranty comparisons, but no one wants someone coming to their door first misrepresenting themselves and then informed by one of these "salesmen" that they will have more of their people come to your door when you refuse to let them in or deal with them or even telling them you dont want to hear their sales pitch or be bothered for anything their selling. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Although I do give them credit for trying to hustle and make money, but lack of PROFESSIONALISM, deception and poor customer service is most likely why they do have a F rating and a ton of complaints against them. The only way to get these companies to close or to be shut down is to not only make comlaints to the BBB which only informs others, but to make comlaints to your local MP and file complaints with the attorney general. Enough complaints to the MP and attorney general, will take care of this OEG!
So people please be more aware and more cautious about allowing people that come to your door or calling you on a phone to sell you something especially if they aren't from a reputable or known company that doesnt have a F rating. |

They payed me a visit Nov.8, 2011. I think I have forgotten more than the energy expert knew. He was talking about air in my water tank? give me a break it's not a balast system like you install on rural cottage pumps to equalize pressure. No statistics, no written quote, etc. basically they were full of $hit trying to sign me up for a water heater for $16.95 + tax for 9 years then I had the option to purchase for a price not revealled. Do the math that's $2069 before I get to buy it. If their purchase price is anything like Enbridge that will be over $400 for purchase. Nice try, I paid $188 for the existing tank and it works fine, I purge it yearly and replaced one dip tube after 10 years, even the original thermal couple works but there is a spare hanging over the tank. These guys are not worth the time of day, they should be shut down. If you want a new tank my advice would be to go buy one. Forget all the rental fees and warranties you end up paying thousands of dollars in the end no matter who you deal with including Enbridge. Same advice on furnaces and A/C |

They offer me an energy star furnace at a monthly rate. Beware, when I asked about the price they were actually renting it to me for 4600 or as an alternative offered me a deal to buy it off at 4000. When I checked same furnace installed in GTA would cost 2600. They were also misinforming about grants procedure. Also they start very polite, then turning aggressive and it the end the agent insulted me before hanging up. |

I had OEG install a high efficiency furnace back in late August of this year (2012). I went the rental route due to the fact of my lack of cash on hand. The salesman was quite the talker, and unfortunately I missed judged the man (Augie Rodriguiez).
He said I was entitled to a $400 government rebate and informed me that he would take care of the paperwork on my behalf. Well it's been over 4 months now and I have not received any kind of rebate. I've called this sales agent repeatdly for the last month. After the third call He answered his phone and assured me that the OEG office would issue a rebate. Well 3 weeks have gone by and no rebate, and the agent doesn't return my phone calls.
After I had done some homework I found out he had intentionally mislead me by telling me that OEG is affiliated with Enbridge gas, which was an outright lie. So looks like I have a fight on my hands, anyone have any suggestions how to proceed with getting my rebate?
Thanks
Mr. R. Kay |
