Occidental Resorts Fraudalent sell Internet |

We as many other tourists that travel to Cancun or Cozumel get sucked in to these tours in exchanged for 90 minutes of our time, well the 90 minutes turned in to 6 hours where the people had our driver licenses and credit card, (they told us they where for identification purposes only) and after holding us hostage for all that time and telling us many lies we end buying; but they told us that we could not get the contract because it was late and was nobody to do it until next day. Next day they sent someone to pick us up at our hotel and when we told them that we were not sure in buying they told us that our credit cards were already charged the day before for the process fee, we got very upset and they said that if we did not finish with the transaction they would not be able to give us the money back, but if we finish and sign the contract we could cancel within 5 days and we would get a refund. Well whenever we try to cancel from the US they told us that we needed to do it in person and they knew this and did not tell us.The seller "Gustavo" told us that the membership that he was selling to us was from someone else that was not able to pay anymore and that it was for 100 years but that we only could use 97 years, then he told us that we could sell it at anytime or rent it, but that wasn't truth either you can't sell unless is paid for and you can't rent unless is under their terms. Plus he told us that we can visit as many times as we wanted to with no restrictions and pay 35 to 50% off of regular rates, that is not true either we found out that Occidental and other hotels have sales for prices even cheaper that what we as members have to pay and with no yearly maintenance fees or monthly membership fees. At this point we are very disappointed with the dishonest tactics that were used to sell us a product that is not worth what they told us and that is cheaper if we buy it by other means, we are disappointed with the quality of the resorts, we stayed at Playacar and the place was dirty, we did not have air conditioning in the rooms ( they had to bring a portable fan for our rooms ( we had 2 rooms) imaging that in a 90 degree weather with 96% humidity?. The pool had green algae growing on the tile around the pool, the food was substandard, so that we went out to eat 6 out of 7 days that we stayed. As I mention what they sold us was not what they told us and to me and many other people is fraud, dishonest sellers that would do whatever to sell. |

Timeshare scams are HUGE problem in Mexico. We purchased a Royal Elite Timeshare last year. We were promised all kinds of opportunity, while they kept serving us cold Coronas. Between HSI, RCI, and Royal Elite it seems that this is all a scam. We initially made three payments of $800, and now after Royal Elite has made a mistake with their collections back in the end of 2008, Monterey Financial has been threatening to send me to court to recover the unpaid portion ever since. Royal Elite is almost impossible to contact. This has become a huge pain, and a troubling financial burden. These are more complaints made on the Royal Elite timeshare resorts:

We will not go down without a fight. We are working now with PROFECO and will continue to haunt them |
