We would like for you to be aware of the type of problems we have encountered in Albuquerque with NYS in hopes that you could encourage new leadership at NYS. 1) To date the Championship Team from last year has not received their individual merit or awards which were promised by NYS. I have stayed on top of this with NYS, but they have not addressed this matter. 2) Parents are now expecting and demanding a full refund from NYS, though many were never issued receipts; How and when will these refunds take place? They are not organized! Complaints listed A-Z below are just a few of those spoken amongst one team because: Overall moral became low with NYS this year when parents and the kids witnessed angry crowds which gathered around NYS offices because they were locked-out early from registration; NYS addressed this problem by preparing itself to 'pull arm's on parents and children' by hiring an armed guard the next day... as opposed to streamlining and organizing it's registration process; But, more so because NYS began the season with only two teams, Menaul & the Panthers. NYS lied initially stating there were 5-6 teams, then when it was revealed there were two teams, it was directed by NYS Albuquerque that those teams must play each other for 8-games. NYS Albuquerque stated these were their rules and no refunds or cancellation of the season would take place. These attitudes from the NYS Albuquerque office are what caused us to involve Mr. Steve Pipoly, NYS President; and last week pretty much ended the season for our boys due to the same. a) "I took an 18-man team to NYS to get registered but Jasmine told me we were too late. It was one day following registration and I had a 3rd team for NYS." b) "I was required to pay cash to NYS but they wouldn't give me a receipt. They said they were out of receipts." c) "My son didn't get his NYS ID Card because they were out of ink." d) "My sons NYS ID Card was issued with an expiration date of 2010." e) "Jasmine lied. She said my son had to play on the Menaul team because all the other teams were filled. What other teams were there? Did they all quit?" f) "Jasmine lied to us, she said there were at least 5 teams registered." g) "I thought NYS was our solution to the politics we experienced at YAFL, next year we're going back to YAFL." h) "Jasmine slammed her sandwich down and said "I guess I can't finish my lunch", when I walked into her office." i) "There were post-it signs taped to the window that said the doors would lock at 4:00 pm,and they were although the voice mail and Office Hours said 5:00 pm." j) "Jasmine is never there." k) "Jasmine makes up stories and lies." l) "Jasmine doesn't promote NYS to really develop awareness, she just drops off flyers at the schools in bundles and they don't get distributed. There's no presentation or promotions of NYS in Albuquerque to really develop teams. People are not satisfied with YAFL so NYS should have at least 3000 to 5000 more participants." m) "Jasmine is not organized. She doesn't seem to like her job at all. She's not a good PR person for NYS at all, that's for sure. She didn't have a pen to write with." n) "I paid $160.00. They didn't give me a receipt but I made sure they checked the box that said I paid." o) "I paid $140.00." p) "I didn't have $140.00 so they accepted $100.00." q) "I didn't get a receipt either. They better not say I didn't pay if they have to refund my money." r) "I went through the entire registration process but didn't pay the dues because there was only one other team and didn't know if there would be a season, and now I don't trust NYS after all the things everyone is saying about Jasmine." s) "Nothing is in writing, Jasmine told me they don't have to print out schedules. She said as long as there is one other team to play against, there's a 8-game season and there will be no refunds." t) "Jasmine said that the fees are $240.00 but NYS only charges Menaul players $120.00, so this means they already got a 50% refund." u) "Jasmine said there are more teams but how can we believe her since she seems to be inventing things as we go along. I bet she'll come up with at least one or two more teams just so there is no refund. She only had the name of one other team, The Trojans. I wonder if it's true and they're really going to play, who knows? It's not printed anywhere." v) "Because of all the disorganization in the registration process, the lies and unprofessional manner, I have doubts and no confidence in NYS Albuquerque Jasmine and would like to have written assurance that the kids will have a fair and competitive 8-game season." w) "Even if Jasmine is not lying or she comes up with another team or two, it's a short season for them and it doesn't give us a 'practiced' team to play against." x) "NYS should just refund at least half of our money no matter what, since we're still going through all of this and there's still nothing concrete to expect. It's been a bad season. It's not fair to the kids. They've gone from being Super Bowl Champs to this?" y) "NYS gave us the wrong color jerseys, they mixed up the uniforms. We're playing in Blue Uniforms and they're wearing our Red Colors." z) "I'd like to see each parent copy the NM State Attorney Generals Office and the NM Secretary Of State's Office on all these email's and complaints. Especially from the ones that are about all the cash transactions where they told parents they didn't have receipts." NYS Pesident Steve Pipoly told us to direct problems to him:
