I completed several online classes from NCU in early 2010, and paid for each class in full. In May I had to relocate for a new job and informed my NCU academic advisor that I would not be taking any additional classes from NCU. He told me to fill out a leave of absence form online and then he would withdraw me from the University. I followed his instructions.
When the leave of absence time period had expired, I was automatically going to be enrolled in yet another class with NCU. I promptly filled out yet another online leave of absence and this time added a special note to it to be WITHDRAWN FROM THE UNIVERSITY!! Once again, the leave of absence time expired, and I received YET ANOTHER E-MAIL STATING THAT I WAS GOING TO BE SIGNED UP FOR YET ANOTHER CLASS AT NCU!! Once again, I filled out an online request for a leave of absence and added another notation to it, stating THAT I WISHED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE UNIVERSITY!! What is it with this school?? Once you take one of their pissy online classes, they think you're enrolled for life!!
I had changed Internet providers and subsequently found out that I had indeed been ENROLLED IN YET ANOTHER CLASS WITH NCU BY THEIR AUTOMATIC ENOLLMENT PROCESS!! So I immediately called the registrar's office and withdrew from the class BEFORE IT HAD BEGUN SOAS TO AVOID ANY FURTHER FINANCIAL CHARGES!!!
Well, now I am getting phone calls from one of their "accounting representatives" stating that I now owe NCU $140 -- all in registration fees--REGISTRATION FEES INCURRED BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN GREED AND PUPOSEFUL NEGLIGENCE!!!! These fees would never have been incurred if they would have responded appropriately to my original request to BE WITHDRAWN FOR THEIR DAMN UNIVERSITY!!!
I'm pissed!!! NCU IS A BOGUS, scam UNIVERSITY THAT IS ONLY OUT TO SOAK ITS STUDENTS OF THEIR HARD-EARNED MONEY!!! And what do they give you in return??? Mediocre education at best!! I never enjoyed a single class with this bogus school. All of the work and burden is placed on the students and all you do is write one paper after another after anotherafter another!!! I NEVER had such a graduate class at any of the universities I attended on or offline. THIS SCHOOL SUCKS, TO PUT IT MILDLY!! AND NOW THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY THESE BOGUS "REGISTRATION FEES"??Fat chance!!! They can sue me at this point, because I will file a counter suit for their unethical, inept, and deliberately defiant practices of automatically enrolling you in classes even after you have SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM TO WITHDRAW YOU FROM THEIR DAMN SCHOOL!!!!
These are hard times, and those of us who are fortunate enough to have jobs, work damn hard for our money. DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY ON A SCHOOL THAT WANTS ONLY TO scam ITS STUDENT OF AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE!!! EVEN AFTER YOU TELL THEM TO WITHDRAW YOU THEY KEEP ENROLLING YOU IN CLASSES AND THEN EXPECT YOU TO PAY THESE BOGUS PENALTIES DESIGNED TO PUT MORE MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS!!!!
This school has given online education a BAD NAME!! Don't be fulled by their smooth sales representatives who forget you soon after you sign up for one of their programs. When you call, all you get is answering machine after answering machine and it takes days sometimes to even talk to a person!! THIS SCHOOL IS NOTHING BUT A HIGH CLASS SCAM, AND I WOULD STRONGLY, STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU FIND ANOTHER ONLINE SCHOOL TO DO YOUR GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE WORK AT.
Not only will you be ripped off, but you will not be satisfied with the quality of education you receive for your money. NCU -- a real scam!!
