North Trail RV Center Ripped off by RV dealer Internet

We bought our RV on the 25th May 2011 from North Trail RV Centre at Fort Myers, Florida.
It is a used Pace Arrow and one of the conditions of sale for us was that the RV have a safety check. This was readily agreed to by the salesman and the Business Manager as they said they wanted us to go on vacation being safe and happy. They said this on a number of occasions.
We had no reason to disbelieve them or not trust them. We had trouble getting the RV out of Park prior to exiting the dealership. They told us to pump the brakes. We drove home on the I 95 on cruise control. At our exit I found the cruise control would not switch off when I touched the brake. Scarey!!! I had to manually switch it off at the wheel.
The next day when we left for our vacation. I could not get the levelling jacks to retract.
Again I could not get it out of park.
I called in a mechanic as I thought there was something I was not doing right. The mechanic took 1.5 hrs to get the RV mobile and into his workshop. He had to jump the switch for the selanoids to get it to move.
He discovered the brake master cylinder and booster were leaking oil. The brake switch was faulty and this effected the cruise control, levelling jacks and the gear shift.
He also found the front tyres were unsafe and had dry rot. The front bearings had also collapsed and the brake pads were in very poor condition. NorthTrail RV had certainly done no safety road worthiness check as they had promised.
They sold us an unsafe vehicle.
When the mechanic had finished we returned to NorthTrail RV with the vehicle and asked them to contribute to the bill.
They refused and would not take responsibility. The General Manager, Steve Graham said they would never have agreed to a safety check. We had another couple with us when we were buying and they heard us ask for the safety check on 3 occasions and that it was readily agreed to by NorthTrail RV Centre.
We feel ripped off!! They are not honourable to deal with and we could not recommend them under any circustance.
