Needle and Shears Todo Es scam--does not provide product as advertised, Laredo , Texas |
19th of Jun, 2011 by User729150 |
I ordered a slipcover several years ago and was very happy. I ordered a new one in August 2010 and finally received it in Feb 2011, 6 months later. It didn't fit, so I returned it for a repair. That was in March 2011. I'm still waiting for the "repaired" warranted product. Emails and voicemails are not being answered. Customer service is non-existent. I've submitted a complaint on Angie's List as well, but don't expect any movement. Get the word out so no one else get suckered!BBB in Laredo rates Needle and Shears as a D-. I can see why... |

Stay away from Needle and Shears!!! They will take your money and send you nothing. I ordered slipcovers December 2011 Fist I was told they were overwhelmed with work, then my covers needed to be taken apart and "serged or "overlocked". Then they said my cover had coloration flaws and again taken apart and resewn. Now the company has moved to the west coast from Laredo, Texas so there are more delays. Theyt have no intention of sending me anything but they were quick to steal my money. If you really must have slipcovers made, don't go to Needle and Shears.!!! |

I ordered and paid in advance for slipcovers from Needle and Shears several months ago. I still have not received them. When I contact them about it via email, I get a reply saying that someone will get back to me within 24 hours. Two weeks ago I received a detailed email telling me all about how much trouble they had with their move...to where? Why didn't they contact customers in advance?? The email said my slipcovers would be delivered by the end of the week. Still no sign of them. I suspect Needle and Shears is a fraud. |

Needle and shears are a fraud. You will not get the product that you paid for in advance. Once you pay them you will never speak to anyone there because they will not return you phone calls. You will get a ton of excuses via email if you are lucky. If you have a problem with them, go to the BBB and file a complaint, abd also with the Federal trade commission. They can't be allowed to scam people and get away with it!
By the way I am still waiting for my order and I placed the ordet Dec. 2011. I want a refund and I will not stop untill I get one. |

I am having the same exact issues as the above complaints!! so unhappy with the noe obvious scam I've fallen for!! I have contacted the BBB for help in resolving our complaint. |

I have finally been told my slipcovers are being shipped. I checked the tracking # and they ared indeed on their way. Lets see how they look and fit. I ordered these covers at the end of Dec. 2011. It took 5 months!!!. That is unacceptable. I will post an update next week when they arrive.
Don't give up... keep complaining to them, and the BBB. |

I still haven't received the slipcovers. I was given a tracking # last week, May 23rd and sent this email which reads in part, "Your order passed quality control inspection and was sent over to our shipping/receiving contractor for prepping/packaging prior to shipment. They have assigned the tracking numbers to all of the orders in that production batch and contacted the USPS for a pickup. As promised, we have authorized out shipping depot to use the Priority Mail, AIR service, instead of ground shipping, to shorten the transit time."
As usual Needle and Shears has lied yet once again. I have been tracking the package and the last scan was somewhere in Texas. It seems to be slowly moving across the country. If they sent it air according to their email, I would have had the package by now. The whole Needle and Shear experience was absolutly horrible filled with one lie after another. I don't have high expectations as far as quality or how they will fit either. Don't deal with Needle and Shears!! |

I am so sad to hear about this -- ordered from them in 2008 when they were Todo Es and the service was fantastic and the fit and quality of the product was incredible -- even now, four years and two kids and a dog and cat later, my sofa slipcover looks great and I always get comments about it. We were considering some new furniture and thinking of slipcovers in order to coordinate everything, so I was checking into ordering from them again, now as Needle and Shears. After reading all these stories of what sounds like fraud, of course I will not be ordering from them -- but they truly had a stellar reputation before and I cannot imagine what happened. Change of management or ownership perhaps? Is there any other place out there that does what they used to do so well? |

After more than 7 months my slipcovers arrived today. They are perfect and beautiful. I couldn't be more
satisfied with the result. It's a shame that Needle and Shears has such poor business communication skills.
That's all it would take...be pro-active in communicating N&S. To do this you will need to put yourselves in
the customers' position. How would you feel if some business you don't even know really exists takes your
money the doesn't even bother to communicate with you month after month after month, and gives you a line (which may or may not be true) when they finally respond to your emails. BTW...it does not instill any confidence in the customer when they receive an immediate email response saying that someone from N&S will get back to you within 24 hours...but then most likely they don't get back to you. It's one thing to know how to make good slipcovers; it's another thing to know how to conduct a successful business operation. |

Don't even think of using this company! They are so decentralized that they cannot begin to offer customer service. After paying in advance, it took 4 months to receive my slipcover--not so bad, after looking at the other reviews.(I will note that there is a tag on it "made in Mexico", which explains some of the delays and inability to provide information). The fit was o.k., but the fabric color was not even remotely like what I ordered. I complained and was told that they could not warranty there fabric. Seriously? So to remedy, they suggest that I reorder in a different fabric--which I would of course have to pay for-- or they would give me a refund of 40%, which I requested that they do. That was at the end of June. Despite multiple inquiries, I have not received my check.
My advice is to use a local upholstery shop if you want a slipcover. Needles and Shears is the worst kind of business. |

Placed and order and sent in my deposit. A couple days later decided to cancel the order. Customer service was very poor in responding and absolutely refused to return even a portion of my deposit. I wish I had read these comments before ordering!! How can we put these guys out of business?? |
