they will solicit you - which should be the first indication this is a scam. for a job interview. medical transciptionist. they send you a digital voice recording which they ask you transcribe and send it back to them. they thene mail you again saying you are hired. and proceed with sending terms of servide, a very lengthy pile of crap that looks like they are legitimate - then they send you another e mail for a "live chat" with one of their operators to further discuss the job. when you go on their live chat, it is very suspicious - and they keep asking you to send the $295.00 for SOFTWARE in order to do the medical transcription. i said I am not comfortable giving my bank info//she ignored me/kept saying i would be fine//i said it again//i am uncomfortable giving you who i do not know my bank info and she cut me off //closed down the live chat so that i could not re-enter the live chat..... thru some google research found other consumers had received the same exact e mails. it is a company down in florida - everything is bogus. be aware! |

It appears they just want the $295.00. I went through the chat process. Looks and feels bogus to me. |

I also received an email from Nationwide Healthcare Employment telling me I have a job waiting that I just need to do an online chat interview. Once the interview/chat began I asked about the company and was given this link www.nhce.net. I checked the website and the "recruiter" just restated everything that the main page said. Then they proceeded to tell me about the great money I would make. Then they said I would need to take 3 exams before beginning work...then there was the catch. I would need to purchase their software before I could take the exam. When I questioned that the live agent didnt respond for close to 5 minutes...I finally said hello? A few minutes after that they posted a link said this is what you have to do and and referred me to another link to get the software http://mtsoftware.org/HOP_payment.asp. The operator never answered my question or apologized for the long break in our chat. Then immediately asked when I would be getting the software. I said I didnt know, I need to do some research on the company first. Then the agent said keep in touch gave me hours of live chat and said to come back when I was ready to begin. The agent wasn't rude or anything to me but I've looked into other medical transcription companies and the legit ones provide any software you might need to their employees...they don't make u buy it. I did find the company on the bbb website...They didn't have any rating or complaint though. Hope this was helpful. Happy job hunting everyone. |

I clicked on the human resource link and a "Chat Window" pops-up telling me I am hired. Then proceeds to ask me for my personal information, work experience and "back ground information". (I did not give him my info wanted to see what the response was going to be). I proceed with some questions. Who am I speaking with? A few seconds then the person respond "Alex". I proceed to ask, where are you located, and what States are the jobs located? The "Alex" informs that I need to read the term and agreement. That he will wait for until I have read the terms, then we can take from there. Going along, told him I have read the agreement and that was the reason Kathy Morgan was able to send me the link. After a few seconds, no response as he/she saw that I wasn't biting their bait. I let him known right then that I know YOU ARE A BUNCH OF SCAMS. DO NOT CONTACT ME EVER AGAIN AS I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! That was it. |

My concern. If we are looking for a job, where are we going to get $295 dollars to buy the software? It all sounds glamous. To be able to really make that kind of money and stay home, but seriously. I dont know about anyone else, but I dont have $295 dollars to be giving out. |

They sent me a link for an "interview" without having any information on me. They asked me during the chat about my education and background, and I told that. Then they said I was "hired" and to fill out the terms of service. I read it and questioned the PC requirement, as I have a Mac; they then sent a place to order the $79 PC emulator software. Then a page popped up with their software, costing $295, which was required during the "up to a month" unpaid training period. So far, this was nearly $400 to thin air, as they had not formally identified anything or anyone. I said I was not comfortable with this and ended the chat. This HAS to be a scam; and a $400 investment with no pay or guarantees is insane. |

So confused!I went through the interview process as you all did, and got the same responses, although I called the phone number on the terms of service agreement and talked to a live person. She sounded legit said she had been working for them for twenty five years and assured me that the recruiter are live people but they do auto text the responses(copy and paste deal) because there is only one person recruiting at a time, so they have to be very quick with responses. She said that as a transcriptionist working for them you would learn to do the same thing with your physicians dictations to transcribe quicker. They are listed on BBB which makes me think they are legit and the lady I spoke with seemed legit yet all around sounds like this company has poor recruiting and customer service nothing is personal. I am still unsure whether it is a scam or not. I am still skeptical to order the equipment and software because they offer no refunds. If anyone has gone through with this employment and purchased software ...please share your experience and post! |

I JUST now finished "chatting" with the "live" recruiter. I told him/her (who knows) that I would need time to think about this and discuss it with my family since I am also uncomfortable spending $295 on a program that allows me to do everything that WORD allows me to do.
I was really excited about this seeing as how I've been looking for a job since graduating in April with a degree in medical office professions. It being an at-home job was even more enticing. Boy am I glad I did my research. Looks like I wont be e-mailing these people back again. |

Thanks to all those who post here! I called the number on the website, the person answering the phone did not sound professional (red flag) did not properly identify herself (red flag), was hesitant to answer questions about software requirements and asked someone in the background what she was supposed to say (final red flag) because if you don't know what the "requirements" are, I should have been forwarded to "Technical Support". JUST SAY NO to this one! |

I was also sent the same information about being hired and taking 3 exams before being hired. I was told that I had to purchase the required software which was 295.00. When I read the terms of agreement, the word "maybe" was supposed to be "may be" prompted me to look on the BBB website and Google because how is this company that is hiring someone to type grammatically correct, have an errors on their term of agreement page. It was not listed as a BBB accredited company and I read all of your posts. Everything I read is exactly what I was sent by this company. I wanted this to be a legit job. I AM SO GLAD I DID THE RESEARCH AND READ ALL OF YOUR POST. |
