National Collecters Mint Misleading the old on SS Port Chester, New York
10th of Oct, 2011 by User215758
I am not a big time collector. In the last three years I have purchase about $3,000 dollars in coins from four different coin companies. On 8/17/11 I was called by National Collector’s Mint and they told me because I was such A good customer that they had a special deal for me. They offered a 1/10 ounce .24 pure gold 16mm coin $5 face value for $99. If I bought 3 of these coins in addition I could buy a $25, 26mm, and half ounce gold coin. I did not hear but I cannot say they did not say it was .24. But the way it was done I feel they were being very deceptive. The price was $449. The way it was done I feel I was misled. I called them told them how I felt when I found an add in a Heartland America catalog for a 300mg, 9mm, .24 pure gold $1 face value coin. The only thing I was interested in was the weight. I am retired on Social Security and am trying to leave my grandkids something. I just feel they took advantage my telling me I was a good customer and they had a special deal for me alright. Just a word to the wise. Listen to every word from National Collectors Mint.
