Nathan James Can't Honor His Original Agreement,s, and Can't be Trusted When Selling His Cars Alpharetta, Georgia |

I first saw Nathan post a listing for his Toyota Mr2 for sale on Craigslist. He had it set to $6200 and then he dropped it to $5500 when he wasn't getting too many responses. I met him at the Extended Stay Hotel where he had both his cars parked. He showed up an hour late then we agreed on. Car looked like it was in good shape from what we (me and a friend) inspected. I wanted a third opinion so I hired an ASE master technician to inspect the car. After I got the report back I told him, "when could we meet to exchange it". He told me someone had offered him 5,000 cash, but didn't have it yet and hadn't even met him to look at the car. The next few days he agreed to meet me at locations we had arranged where we could make the exchange. I offered him $4,800 if I were to come buy it from him, but I'd match the $5,000 if he had some way to get it to me. He met up with a buddy the first day and we agreed to meet between 6:30 P.M. He contacts me letting me know he's running late around 6:00 P.M. I then, don't hear back from him till 7:30 P.M. saying his buddy bailed and I'd have to give him a ride home. I didn't have the opportunity to do this so we decided on another day. The next day, he agrees to meet me in between 3:00 and 3:30 P.M. He contacts me at 2:50 P.M. saying he would be there. I then don't hear from him till 5:40 P.M. (this was after I had sent him a message after not seeing him) asking if he would be open after 6:00 P.M. I don't hear from him till 8:30 P.M. saying he decided to visit a friend instead. I showed up each time waiting between 30 min. to 1 hr. and he never showed up, but rather gave me excuses way after the time we should have met. At 9:30 P.M. I hear from him going back on our agreement that he wanted me to meet him. At this point, he broke every single agreement so I no longer trusted him. He tried to tell me the reason he didn't show up was because he got an e-mail on the way driving to meet me, saying someone offered $5200. He claims to be out of work, but has all the time to play games with people wasting their time and money. There was no way I was going to spend $50 on a taxi and have that chance to not see him show up like usual. |
