I had been with this company for a few months, when I noticed I was being charged for faxes every month. They tell you that they don't "Sell" your number, but my fax number was unpublished, and only one other person had it. I had only sent and received 1 actual fax since I've been with the company, but I still received numerous junk faxes from promotional advertisements from companies that are out of state. Most of them were for washer and dryer rentals and other bogus items. This ran my bill up tremendously every month, and there is really no way to control it. This company is definitely a ripoff. I have paid to receive advertisements from their companies. Here is the last transcript I had with the customer service, they didn't deny that they were responsible for the junk faxes. 10:11 AM John C: Thank You, for contacting MyFax support. Can I start by getting your account number or fax number please? 10:11 AM E: Yes 50.... 10:11 AM John C: Thank you, what issue can I assist you with today? 10:13 AM E: I need to cancel this account. For the last few months, I have had this account, and apparently my number has been sold because I have been receiving nothing but junk faxes that are running up the charges on my accoubt 10:13 AM E: My fax number is unpublished, and it was only supposed to be used for internal business use 10:14 AM John C: We do not sell our numbers. 10:14 AM John C: I can certainly help you with your account cancellation request. Before we begin however, I will need to verify the account you are referencing. Can you please provide me with the answer to the security question on your account "What is your mothers maiden name?" 10:14 AM E: If they're not sold, then it's something you're doing. 10:14 AM E: R.... 10:16 AM John C: Your account has been cancelled, as requested. You will receive a confirmation of this via email shortly; the cancellation ticket number is IS.... If you change your mind and wish to reactivate your service, you can contact us anytime in the next 30 days and we can reactivate the account for you. Are there any other issues that I can assist you with today? 10:16 AM E: No, but I will be doing a ripoff report on this company. 10:17 AM John C: Have a great day and thank you for contacting MyFax support.
