In August of 2010 we signed up with MyContractorLocator.com after several months of them calling us regarding leads that they could generate for our company. From the beginning we had nothing but problems with this company. We where not receiving the leads that R** at mycontractor.com (I will be leaving his name out) said he sent. This happened on numerous occasions. We would then get a few here and there by fax then by email. The leads turned out to be bad! We would call the customer provided on the lead and find out that they had already had the work done sometimes one year prior to our call or the customer would get irritated and tell us that, we where the second or third contractor to call that day or some customers said they had not inquired about having windows replaced. My husband was also told that the leads would only be sold to one other contractor on any of the leads provided. The leads ranged from $40.00 - $50.00 a lead. As you know this can add up very quickly, specially for the ficticious leads they charge you for. I found out that they where just putting leads into the accepted section on our account instead of letting us accept the leads we wanted. In December 2010, I requested credit on all the leads that we received which was approximately $240.00 which they did credit. My husband complained to this gentlemen and told him at that time if he could not provide any good leads then our services with them would be over. I would also like to mention the fact if you try to reach mycontractorlocator by phone or email forget it, you have to really get upset for someone to contact you. On January 18, 2011 mycontractor.com started calling my husband again. He found some good leads that he verified himself. My husband told the gentleman he spoke with that he would try to contact the lead that was sent to us. Low and behold again we where told by one pissed of customer that not only did he purchase windows a year ago but we again where the fifth person that had called him that day. I immediately wrote an email on January 19, 2011 telling mycontractor that every lead they have provided to us was outdated, and customers where getting upset with us for calling. We wanted to cancel our service with them to call us. I had also sent a fax that same day telling them simply to cancel after my husband got in touch with MCL. On June 26, 2011 I discovered that mycontractor.com had written a check out of our account for $640.00. We immediately had to close the business account in fear that they would be taking more money out of our account. We have had this business account for over 25 years. Just to mention this created huge problems for our bank and us. We had checks that where out to various businesses for materials etc. MCL has also written to the BBB complaining to them that we committed fraud, etc. They are calling us everyday on our business phones, cell phones and emailing us, saying we owe them money and if we don't set up a payment arrangement they will be contacting a third party! I sent them a fax telling them to stop harrassing us sending them a copy of the letter to the owner. So then they turn around and send us 18 emails within a two minute period of time telling us we owe them money with the same statement. This company and their alias company have numerous complaints with the BBB in North Dakota. If you do a google of the company there are several sites telling of the many complaints this company has from numerous contractors. Some of them 25 pages long! My question is why can't someone close down these A*******. And what about filing a class action lawsuit against them. If you read all the other contractors that are being harrassed I'm sure they are all willing to get back what this company has stole from them? I will be one of the first to sign up! These guys are disrupting my life and my business and I'm not going to take it anymore! I'm really looking forward to hearing more complaints, lets put these SOB out of business once and for all. Just to mention my file is thick with evidence on this company.
