I just happen to be friends with a lawyer in Trumbull who will be the attorney who represents Linda's former partner. I have fired Linda as my coach and hired her former partner as well. I learned that Linda Van Valkenburgh stole a lot of proprietary material from her partners and a system for finding a job that was protected. Apparently she walked away from the partnership without legal dissolution and basically stole all files, hardware, phone, desks etc. That however is not the worst of it. The lawyer told me they have 90 emails on Hire Aspirations letterhead sent from Hire Aspirations server to all of the Hire Aspirations clients giving them the language to transfer there contracts to Linda's new company. Wow, that is pretty bad. Worst of all, Hire Aspirations has been great and she is dragging them into scam reports. Any way, I have learned that this is a very solid case without much hope for Linda. I would be very careful about getting into long term contract with her because if she loses in court, I am pretty sure the damages will put her out of business. Sounds like she deserves that anyway.
