Ms. Jessica psychic psychic ripoff Ms Jessica and her daughter Sophia Georgetown Washington DC Washington, District of Columbia
7th of Nov, 2011 by User990472
There is a fraud psychic on right in the middle of Georgetown: M and Wisconsin. Their company name is "psychic Ms. Jessica" and the readings are also done by the daughter Sofia. I decided to stop by as I was having turbulent time in my life. I ordered a 20$ short Tarrot card reading. Although she promised to tell about future, she mainly said about things in present that were on my mind. I was impressed with that (as I now understand that she might not have been a good tarrot reader but does have some ability to read people's mind). Then she said that I am carrying negative energies, it comes from my childhood and my chakra's have to be cleaned. She promised that her results are guaranteed and that for 200$ she will do a research on me (she wrote done my name and date of birth) and a complete cleaning and fix all the negative that I carry. This reading was no more than 5 minutes long. I had a thought in my mind not to give into it, but she was so persuasive and I guess I'm a bit of a naive type of person inclined to hypnosis, so I went and withdrew 200$ cash from the nearby ATM. In return she gave me 3 tealight candles to burn completely while I'm taking a relaxing bath for 3 days in a row and a stone to carry every where with me. I did this ritual and when I came back she asked me how I slept and felt. I said fine (although I doubt that after 1-hour hot bath with a candle anybody would have a bad sleep) and I told her that I've got a sore throat. She concentrated on highlighting that because she was cleaning my negative energy I am now feeling better (than why did I get sick those days?). Then, since she promised to do a research on me I expected that she will do some talking and say what she saw in my past and what is and will be happening in my life (during the first visit she did guess that I had 2 men on my mind, and I confirmed this information). She said nothing about my past, nor provided any more details on my present nor about future predictions. I demanded more details but she couldn't produce anything concrete besides saying that you are surrounded by a lot of people with bad energies. She just kept on repeating that all of my chakras are damaged and she couldn't fix it for 200$ and needs entire 2 weeks to do the full cleaning which will cost me another 400$!!! As she saw me being resistant to the price, she said only for you I can reduce it to 200$ because she wanted to help, and she can except over time payment over a certain agreed period of time. I already realized that she's fooling me around but wanted to make a quite departure. I still have a check from the bank about my ATM withdrawal as well as a friend who was with me that night can testify I was at this psychic's place. When I came home and did some more of google research, I found tons of other reviews of people's testimonies that she ripped them off in various amounts.... I just can't believe that such a complete ripoff exists for many years in the center of Georgetown!

Yes, something similar to this happened to me too two days ago...my friends and I went to her because I was interested in get my palms read since it was "only $5" according to the sign outside. My other 3 friends were relcutant to try (which was smart) but I wanted to just because I wanted to ask about some lines on my palms that my mother regarded as "emotionally broken" (she did some palm reading from the library when she was younger). When we went in the first time she told us to come back in an hour, but we came back in 45 minutes instead and then she let us in.

Ms. Jessica had all her family or something in the kitchen drinking and smoking and she also was lighting a cigarette when she lead us into her living room, with her little son on the computer watching youtube videos. My friends sat in the couch, afraid of her little poodle, and she told me to sit opposite to her in one of the chairs and hold out only the hand that I write with.

In less than 3 minutes she said that I was going to "fall in love in December" "have 2 kids when I get older: boy, girl" "will go into medicine because I am a caring person and love helping others" "can overcome illnesses and hardships easily" and that I "don't have much clue in what direction I want to go into now but I will figure it out one day".

I mean they SEEM like legit readings, but she was super rude when she spouted out this random shit and if you think about, even I could look at someone's palms and say stuff like this and claim to be a "psychic". And she only looked and ONE palm, and when I wanted to ask a question when she paused to take a smoke, she interrupted me and rudely said, "I'M NOT FINISHED YET." Then she charged me $10 because she said $5 was only for the "morning special" (no where does it say this on the sign outside, so it was such bullshit). When I asked her if any of the lines on my palms me anything, she harshly said "No" and looked at me like I was an idiot. I promptly looked back at her as the same.

If she wants to be claimed "a psychic", at least maintain a professional image by not smoking in customer's faces, having your kid and dog in the room while having the reading, and having your loud family members 6 feet away in the other room drinking and having a ball.

This was such complete bullshit, and even if she may have some sort of "6th sense", your money is not worth it on this con. What a sketchy family and experience. I am glad I warned the family outside waiting after us because she told them to come back in 20 minutes...for what?? So she can go drink or take a smoke with her family? In conclusion, NEVER COME HERE. SHE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
