MountainBlack [email protected], [email protected] Absolute Fake, Fraud DO NOT ORDER Internet, Internet |
1st of Jan, 2012 by User860700 |
I ordered two Mountain Hardwear jackets, grey and green, on 15Nov2011. They were available only here, nowhere else online, and I had wanted these jackets for presents. I received two jackets, wrong style, and wrong color. I emailed customer service for an exchange. They said no exchanges. Then I asked for my money back. He said sure. He also made me jump through SEVERAL hoops to get a return sheet, which was linked to a fake PDF for a while until I asked about it. Then I got the real PDF and had to wait yet another 24 hours for a "Return Auth #" from the customer service rep himself. Why he would not give me this on the first day is beyond me. Then I shipped them (after finding out it wasn't going back to UK as the website states, but to the UK protectorate 'Jersey'), and I had to pay all shipping back there. The customer rep then stated that he would not refund my money, only give me store credit. Why would I want store credit when they sold me something they do not have int he first place; if they did, they would have gladly exchanged it and all of this could be avoided. I have gotten my credit card company involved, have reported them on here and on FBI internet fraud, and if I'm bored enough, might get a lawyer involved. |

I had the same experience. Happy to see I am not alone.
What about starting a class action against them?

I am going through a similar ordeal with MountainBlack. Ordered over €300 of equipment in October 2011, paid insurance premium as well and nothing ever arrived. After waiting the required 45 days I submitted my claim only to have it 'declined by insurance' as it was over 90 days since I ordered.
I believe Joshua is a one man fraudulent company. |

Have been similarly ripped off by MountainBlack.
If you are in any doubt, try ringing their Jersey (Channel Islands) number - it's a lovely old lady's private house AND the PO Box address belongs to an hotel that knows nothing about them!
Total fraudsters - AVOID! |
