New owners - new problems. SSK properties apparently bought Mosbys Point from the financially struggling Continental Properties. SSK, from what I've been told, is the ultimate definition of a bully. They do what ever they want, when ever they want, and if you you don't like it, you're told you can move. If you dispute their methods you're threatened with eviction. They lowered the rent $50 a month and started charging $71 a month for water and sanitation, which should average $35 a month. You're sent a statement with no contact information, due five days or less after you receive it or a late charge is assessed, and threatened with your water being shut off if it's not paid within a few days of the due date. The people there are furious but are left with few alternatives. The majority of the residents are financially strained and couldn't afford to move (or lose) their homes so they have to take this abuse. Check out who the main guy at SSK is, then check out his political clout, and then ask yourself W T F? How is taking advantage of the poor and minorities by this company excusable? Why the local, state, and / or federal authorities are not looking into this is beyond me. Think twice before even considering living there, or any other SSK Community. To their credit though, they did paint the streets and plant some trees and shrubs.
