MIG Funding / Global Equity Alliance Scammed me into a $1000 refundable |
20th of Nov, 2011 by User219654 |
MIG Funding / Global Equity Alliance claims they require a $995 commitment fee before they will begin processing your hard money loans and that it is refundable if the loan is not closed. I honored my side of the agreement and put up front a $995 commitment fee, upon our loan not closing, they refused to honor their side of the agreement. Their statements are misleading and practices are outright fraudulent. Unfortunately I fell for their scam. See below their posting by their SEVC Michael Mackay. His comments can be easily found posting all over the internet. "Hello All, I thought to take a moment to clear the air for all questions and comments listed above. My name is Michael Mackay, SEVC for MIG Funding. $ the 995.00 Fee questions... This is simple when you apply for a loan with us, click on the apply online tab of our site! All fees are disclosed right on that page. So a rehab loan is $39.00, once approved it breaks don like this! First time borrower $995, paid when you select the loan you actually qualify for "this is key", second time or more $495.0 collected on the HUD. Not every borrower, or property is approved for funding, in your mind it may be a good deal, however we train our processors to look out for things for you, that maybe you do not see. So if you pay the fee and that property does not close, you can look for another property or get a refund, we will keep any costs incurred on your behalf" title, appraisal" if you didn't make it that far, then you are good." If you are deceived by MIG Funding, and would like to sign a petition or work together towards a class action lawsuit with a group of other people who were also misled by MIG Funding's Fraud and Scam, please e-mail me [email protected], we can work together on this to get our money back or take this company down. MIG Funding is holding our money their SEVC Michael Mackay said would be refunded. |

We must first know the person whom owns [email protected], we will be glad to try a resolve? however your tactic is bold to say the least.
Until we are aware whom this person is? we can not resolve anything. |

I was also scammed by mig funding / global equity alliance. Try and resolve??? LOL! What a joke! I am sure the person already did try and resolve thise before posting!
People listen up: They are fraudulent! There are plenty of Hard Money Lenders out there.
Steer clear of these guys. Do not do business with them. I too was scammed by them and I plan on going after them legally. |

"bold" - yea, what is bold is GEA scamming people! be afraid, be very afraid. |

I was scammed also. What can we do to file a class action lawsuit against these clowns? |

Folks,
No one is scamming you, maybe we were the ones whom YOU tried to scam out of thousands of dollars of private money? WE WILL ISSUE A FULL refund to those who post here if you can do the following:
Identify yourself, not fake post names...
email [email protected]
give us your real name, and a short email telling us why we should refund the money, remember all those documents you DID or DID NOT submit...reference our ZERO tolerance loan fraud policy, make darn sure you did not do something you should NOT have tried to pull...
Us clowns "BGOOD" will be glad to help you that filing referenced above, as long as we make sure we do NOT have a few great cases against you!
WE DO NOT LEND TO FRAUD OR FAKES... if your broke tell us!
We dont understand this one thing:
Why in the world do people put down non-refundable escrow money on a purchase contract (CASH offers at that) and then do not have cold hard cash to close, and have no idea yet, how to get the money from anyone, or us... we have a very simple process with a checklist that is given to each borrower 3 separate times, YOU cant tell me you didnt read it, and can not produce the documents... really!
The worst is you loose the down payment escrow, and yet i never hear you complaint to HUD, or the REO bank when you cry WOLF, and they tell you to stick it, you do not get your funds back... OH, you signed a CONTRACT... just like you did with us!
We do not want the loan, or the property, YOU did the buyer, it was your bright idea, why should we incur bills on your behalf on a loan file, if you cant understand simple contracts, and then can not even produce accurate back up docs to support what you say on a loan application...
And we will requesting via court docs that this site release all user info, the one who started this thread, will be cited for copy-write law, you were dumb enough to post something written on our site, and docs, as your own... and never got any permission. UH-OH... |

Don't believe the above post, which is from Michael Mackay, the owner of GEA. Michael, if all of that is correct, what is the business address for Global Equity Alliance? I am a former client, and GEA stopped responding to any of my communication after I cancelled my contract and requested a return of my deposit. There is no address listed on their website, and the last two certified letters I sent to the addresses of the company on file with the Ohio secretary of state came back undeliverable. A quick search of the internet will find many folks who feel they have been scammed by this company. If GEA fails to perform under your contract and then wrongly refuse to return your deposit, email [email protected] as we are preparing a class action lawsuit and you are welcome to join. |

I agree that this company is a scam. My husband has been working with this company for over 6-months. Kim Riddle is his processor and he has been unable to get her to communicate with him regarding a closing date. I think our course of action is to contact the BBB, the Attorney General's Office and the Department of Finance for the State of Ohio. I suggest that you guys don't have any further contact with them and just follow the procedures that I have given you and hopefully you can get this resolved. |

I, too, have been scammed by GEA. Michael Mackay is the biggest liar I have ever seen! His entire purpose is to pose as someone that can help, then he rips you off and treats you like crap. He will cuss you out on the phone, as well as not pay you. COMPLETE SCAM!!! |
