I entered into a month-to-month rental property agreement (while being relocated) from Midwest Wholesale Properties, located in Edmond, Oklahoma from September 19th, 2010 - November 1st, 2010. The owner of Midwest Wholsale Properties, Midas Capital Funding, Midas Investments is Chad Black. This property was located at 3700 Wolf Creek Circle Edmond, Oklahoma 73034. The property is currently in forecloser and is actively being marketed for sale. This is why Midwest Wholesale Properties will do a month to month lease. I was told before signing the month-to-month lease with David (leasing Agent) that while it is listed for sale, very few inquiries have or will be made to show the property. This was my main concern since my wife was staying at home while expecting a baby. Midwest Wholesale Properties improperly withheld the $1750.00 security deposit on that property. Midwest Wholesale Properties retained the deposit based upon a contention that I gave insufficient move-out notice in mid-October, despite the fact that Chad Black/Midwest Wholesale Properties had another tenant ready to move in November 1st, 2010. I was advised by the leasing agent (David) that the move-out notice wouldn't matter because they had a new tenant ready to move in. I personally paid $350.00 to have the carpet cleaned when I moved in due to the filthy condition. The grass, bushes, and landscaping were overrun when I moved in, and spent $500.00 on mowing, trimming of bushes, etc. The inside and outside of the property were in better condition when we left than when we moved in. I also paid to have an exterrminator out three times to get rid of spiders, scorpions, and wasps that had infested the place. The property was also shown improperly and without sufficient notice numerous times while we lived there. Everyday we received calls for a showing later that day. As I mentioned earlier that my wife was expecting a baby. I contacted Dave (Midwest Wholesale Leasing Agent) after we moved out to collect our deposit. He told me to take that up with their attorney. He told me "they use him all the time" & "take us to court, we're there all the time". I hired an attorney to solve this matter and our letter and phone calls to Midwest Wholesale Properties has gone unanswered. I will be suing them out of principle and conducting business in a fair and honest way. I own a legitimate multi-million dollar business and my wife is a doctor, between the two of us, the $1,750.00 that they STOLE from us is not going to break us. I will be suing them out of principle of conducting an unethical, and dishonest business. I love how they act as "Big Wheels" on their website, buying all this property, when obviously they don't have a pot-to-piss in and can't repay the small deposit of $1,750.00. This tells me that they are nothing more than a bunch of low life, fast money, scammers out to screw over whoever they can...problem is they picked on the wrong person!
