Midland Credit Management Response to Pre-legal notification San Diego , California

I received a letter from Midland approximate 2 months ago of a pre-legal notification of a debt. I replied by certified mail, return receipt requested, asking for validation and also informing them that I responded on September 28, 2009 and February 6, 2010 to a law firm from Boston asking for validation of this account, in which I had not received any information. In my validation not only did I request a copy of the contract, the license that this company can do business in my state, that the statue of limitations did not expire, a history of the debt with all payments but added that if they purchase the debt, the amount of the purchase and the date of the purchase. Since they purchased this so-call debt at a discount, then the original debt to this firm would be the purchase price and not what they claim. As of this date I have not received any information and in all respects most likely will not. If they do sue, then I will meet them in court and they can explain why they can not be in compliance with Federal and State law concerning collections in my state. By the way, you can sue in Federal Court at very little cost, win and then have a judgment against them to pursue it with their Attorney General in their state.
