Maria Kryakof Talone Maria Talone Puppy Scam Lowell, Arkansas |

I contacted someone on internet whom I found on dogs.oodle.com, who said that she had two Golden Retriever puppies available a female named Bea & a male named Toby she would have them delivered, she was asking for $250 for each puppy. When I told her I was interested & I'd pay $150 then make another payment of $100 at a later date because she told me she would hold Bea for me. After telling me this she told me that she took the puppy to the delivery service & they'd be contacting me in regards to payment & delivery, which was Thursday, the 24th. When the delivery service contacted me they said I needed to go to Western Union & wire $100 beofre they could authorize the delivery ticket for the puppy to be shipped (via flight). After making the payment of $100 Thursday the 24th evening, I was contacted Friday the 25th morning stating that they would not be able to board Bea w/ out a special air-conditioned crate so I needed to wire an additional $300 rental & insurance of the crate that I was told would be fully refunded upon delivery of Bea. I told them I could not afford that so they bartered w/ me for $100. After this payment was wired they authorized the delivery ticket & Bea would be scheduled to arrive at the KCI airport around 2:00 pm & then in route for delivery to our doorstep. I never again heard from anyone on Friday & didn't hear back from anyone until Saturday morning, when they proceeded to tell me that I needed to go back to Western Union & change the address of the last payment I had made, but once I got to the Western Union Store they told me that the $$$ had already been picked up & the address couldn't be changed. So they then proceeded to tell me that I needed to make an additional payment of $100 for Bea's registration for my city, I once again I bartered w/ them & ended up making a payment of $50. They told me to go directly home as since Bea was already in area she could be delivered w/ in 45 min-1 hr. I didn't hear back from anyone for several hours & when I finally made contact (because I was trying to contact them & no one was answering) they told me again it'd be about 1 hr-1 1/2 hrs. About 2 hrs later I received a call back after trying them again that'd it'd be about 45 more min-1 hr. After another 1 hr & a 1/2 I called them back they said they'd be arriving at our house in 15-20 min. No one ever showed & I had no contact from them until an e-mail I received Mon the 28th evening stating that Bea had grown ill & now needs a vaccine shot adminstered & after a payment of $199 has been wired she will get shot & be delivered. Well, I finally came to my senses on Sunday & realized I was being scammed (HELLO??? I know, how naive can one be?). I have called them out on it & they have explained to me they are not scamming me & if I do not make the payment I will be charged with animal neglect & abuse. They have also e-mailed me that I'll need to make the payment again for the rental crate insurance for the re-delivery of my puppy. I have also been e-mailing the original person I'm supposedly getting the puppy from & she's telling me how she's been conversing w/ the delivery company as well & she tried to help w/ the payment but was told it can only come from one wire. She also told me the address of the where the dog was being held which was still in Booneville, AR (googled the address & it is the Booneville High School) which is pretty funny to me considering that the dog was supposedly in KC over the weekend. I have also searched the phone number the woman gave me as her contact # which she claimed said has horrible reception so she prefers to communicate via e-mail (tried # several times goes straight to voicemail) The # number comes up as a landline in Venice, FL but she's supposedly in Lowell, AR this number has also come up under other puppy adoption sites. I have made contact using my work e-mail & she has responded w/ the same e-mail exclamation as I received before. Not really sure what to do now, how to proceed & if there is any possible way I'll ever see my $250 again? Please HELP |
