Saw ad for Magic Mesh product on TV. Product was cheap, $19.95 and seemed to be worth a try as a sliding glass door screen. Went online to to purchase. Price presented showed $19.95 plus $7.95 S&H for 1 set. Free SECOND set offered for another $7.95 S&H, and I chose that option. In 'theory' I should be at approx $35 at this point, right? NO TOTAL GIVEN WHATSOEVER! I put in my credit card details, and WAS IMMEDIATELY taken to SALE COMPLETE screen. TOTAL COST WAS $91.70!! NO EXPLANATION of charges, no phone number given. I have been trying to contact this company for two days now to cancel this order. I will be calling my Credit Card company and reporting a fraudulent charge. I DID NOT authorize this! STAY AWAY from this product and this company. |

Just a follow up to my last post - I did return the product and they did put through a credit on my Visa.
However ----- they had charged me $121.29 (not the approximately $45.00 that I had expected) and the
credit on my Visa was $86.76. So it cost me $34.53 for WHAT!!!???? On top of that, I paid $18.10 to
send the darn things back. Guess that's what I get for being so stupid!!! Have never ordered anything
off a TV commercial before and never will again. I paid a good price for this experience. |

THank you for posting your issues with this scam! Inte3resting that the Connecticut Attorney General's office, BBB and Consumer Affairs are STILL letting them advertize. Today is Feb 25th 2012 and they still have this scam!! Forget about it!! Is this still the US of A? |

No complaint - just a big "Thank you" to those who took the time to post reviews - just came online to buy this product - which I've wanted for a while - now decided I will NOT buy it! Think you all saved me money + aggravation. Thanks again! As an aside, am wondering why these companies do things like this - I'm sure they can make lots of $$$$ selling a decent product at a fair price, w/out any scams. Had no idea abt. them trying to talk cust. into getting 2 if they only wanted 1 or that they tried to get U to "upgrade" to thicker mesh. |

A close call! Had just ordered this product and after listening to numerous promotion offers on the phone tried to opt out of 'free discount membership' offer but then the button pushing didn't work and the recording
kept talking. Then disconnect. No total price quote. I then checked the internet (which I usually do
first but was an idiot this time) and thanks to all who posted, I immediately contacted my bank via phone as it is Easter Sunday. It had been 20 minutes and had not been charged to my account yet. Bank had me close my Visa debit card that I used and they are issuing me a new one. Inconvenient, you bet, but they can't get to my funds now. Don't wait to contact your bank, 24 hr customer service should always enable you to stop or flag the transaction. THANKS TO ALL WHO POST...IT'S UNFORTUNATE WE MUST BUT IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO HELP EACH OTHER WITH THESE DISREPUTABLE COMPANIES...THE POWERS THAT BE DON'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO. |
