Lucy Creek Arms Tim Miller did not deliver rifle as promised Internet |
4th of Jul, 2011 by User688516 |
I had bought a rifle from Lucy Creek Arms in July of 2010 and paid with my creidt card. when I received my rifle, it had some deep gouge marks on the finish. Tim accepted my rifle for an exchange, due to the cosmetic defect. The rifle was sent back and received by Tim during the first week of August. Tim promised me a new rifle when the next shipment came in from the manufacturer and he would send the defect rifle back to the manufacturer. I had repeatedly kept in touch via email with Tim to get a status update on my order, throughout Sept, Oct., Nov. and Dec., with Tim giving me promised delivery dates. Then in February of 2011, I called the head sales rep. at the manufacturer and asked if my rifle was ever returned to them for a replacement. The sales rep. did not confirm Tim's story. My rifle was not returned to them. The head sales rep. personally called Tim to sort out what was going on with my rifle. I was then emailed by Tim giving me a promised delivery date. When that date passed a few weeks later without any contact from Tim nor delivery of my rifle, I initiated a request for a refund. When I emailed Tim to request a refund, another person replied back, using the Lucy Creek Arms email address that they would send my request to "Accounting" and the refund should take approximate 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, I tried calling Tim but he would not pick up the phone nor return my calls. I then emailed him asking where my refund is and he replied with a nasty response back, telling me he does not have time to deal with me and just to sit back and wait for my refund. I then contacted my credit card company to initiate a chargeback, 9 months after the initial transaction. My bank that issued my credit card initially refused to do any chargeback on the purchase, since several months had passed but when I told them that VISA stated that since I did not receive my original item replaced, my purchase was still protected under their consumer protection regulations. I forwarded to my bank all of the emails that I had saved from my conversations with Lucy Creek Arms and then initiated a dispute against Lucy Creek Arms. In May 2011, I received confirmation from my bank that Lucy Creek Arms failed to counter-argue my claim and thus I was refunded the purchase price of my rifle ($2500). Do not purchase any items from this business. |

Lucy Creek Arms is a Rip off and Tim Miller should be punished fined, jailed. I paid for a suppressor from him in 09 and just got a refund two years later. He is still stealing people information if he gives u a refund half the time he doesnt do that . Beware BEWARE I would not ever do business or recommend him for anything. |

I too victim to Tim Miller's class III scam. In 09 I purchased a supressor from Tim.
He took my money plus the tax fee and sent me out the door with a form
four with no serial number on it. The local law enforcement signed off on it.
After returning it to Tim the long wait ensued. I contacted Tim a few months later
to inquire about the progress. Tim Miller gave me some line of BS about the ATF.
So I gave the ATF a call with no serial number no check number I was dead in the water.
The ATF was helpful on educating me on the transfer process. A year later I requested a
refund. I recieved the refund two month after the request. I would discourage doing
business with Lucy creek arms. Tim Miller is a fraud. |

I wish I would have read this before I ordered a weapon from Tim as well. Ordered it off his web site for $1255. After a month of not hearing a thing from the business, I sent an email asking for a full refund and to cancel my order. Tim replied they would refund my money. 3 weeks goes by, and I send him another email asking about my money. I too received the famous line now found on multiple forums, that Tim would send it to the accounting dept., and it would take 15 days to process. Waited another 3 weeks, sent an email to Tim, and got the same "accounting dept." reply. Just filed a dispute with my credit card company, and they are going after him. Will also file a complaint with the ATF in San Antonio, as some other person who received the now infamous "accounting dept." has filed a complaint. |
