Low country van lines is operating a dishonest organization. I was given a moving price via email from the organization which included a pick up date of June 30th. I was very specific in the needs of the move to the company. I was also very specific in the price. I was assured that to get my business, the price was firm and no additional charges would be added. The company didn't show up on the scheduled day as planned causing additional days of rent being charged by the land lord. The next day they were scheduled to show up at 630 am, which they didn't show up until 830 am. When the crew arrived to start the move, I was told that the price went from 2560 to a new price of 4100. The additional charges were for three mattress covers, and to pad four tv's, and two mirrors, and a glass cabinet. Even though all these items were on the bill of lading and the moving order. I was told that the price I was given was to include any and all furniture wraps, and padding needed for these t.v.s. In our discussions on the phone, I was told that the move included these materials to safely move all goods in my home. I was even told by the forman that I was out of luck and if I wanted to move I would have to pay the new price. He also told me that this happens at every site they go to, and that is how the owners make their money, by giving low quotes and then when the home owners don't have any other options they have to pay what ever is asked. Due to Low country van lines fradulent practices, we had to pay another mover more money for a last minute move, we had to pay 5 additional days of utilities, and charged an additional 5 days of rent. Not to metion that the person we brokered the move through would not return our calls during the delay or the day of the move when we received the requote. All of this is unsatisfactory and unacceptable for any bussiness, especially when you are putting the possesion of personal items in anothers hands. honesty, trust, and accountability is a must. | This company will take your money and make your life miserable. Please you have nothing to lose but everything to gain by using a more reputable company. The low prices this company quotes is a complete hoax, and it will end up being much more than that. Also, although they give you a "a binding estimate" which you electonically sign which has a policy for delivery time, they will force you to sign a bill of lading with fine print on the back of it that says they have 30 days to deliver. Keep in mind this bill of lading will not be presented to you to sign until after your stuff has been loaded onto a truck. Additionaly, the extra price over the estimate will be given to you after you belongings are on the truck. Basically, from beginning to end, they will try to trick you into an expensive nightmare. On top of that, the office idiot is Yolanda Medina, who honestly might be the most ignorant and uncaring person I have ever met. Finally, they will tell you these reviews are from rival companies, but you have to ask yourself is it worth the risk. If you cannot trust my review, can you trust a moving company |

| This company is just hassle and no good comes out of it. I was supposed to receive my stuff last week of May and have yet to receive them! They keep telling me that it's on the way or that they'll find out and call me back by the end of the business day! guess what, they NEVER call back! They do not care if you're in a new house sleeping on an air mattress for a month and a half! They are ignorant, rude, and have no business being in this industry! |
