Loancare Mortgage incompetance, overblown fees, poor customer service Virginia beach, Virginia |

This company is useless. Our mortgage company uses them as a collection agency. They treat us like deadbeats. They have sent paid individuals to our house with an envelope and slip of paper with their phone number on it and they do nothing but deliver it. We have been on time with our mortgage payments since the inception of our loan. The mortgage holder (third one) called us to lower our interest rates last October because we had such a good record. Then they brought in loancare. We had been set up with auto pay with all 3 of the companies that held our mortgage. Loan care - after assessing a late fee when they took over collecting the payments, *said* they would be more than happy to do the same. First month.. no withdraw happened... second month, same thing. We were assured that by the third month the auto pay would go into effect. It again did not happen... and again because of their ineptitude we had to pay over the phone each of those three months - late because we kept waiting for the auto payment to happen, and be assessed a fee for the service. (and the late fee of course) Then the 4th month rolled around and we got a call that because we had been late (their fault) for 3 months running, they would no longer consider us for auto pay. Also, they would no longer take a payment over the phone, via internet and now they want cashiers checks as valid payment. I've done some research on this company and found lots of other complaints about this excuse for a company here, http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/awful-company-c330754/page/1.html#c952623 It really seems like part of their business plan is to assess as many fees as possible by not providing the services they say they're going to. Our mortgage company refuses to cut out the middle man so to speak and just let us pay them. Now, after reading that complaints board, we're afraid to send them anything for fear of mismanagement of funds.

Same thing with me. They took over my GMAC loan last fall after 8 years of always on time autopay and they said autopay would continue as before. Result - no autopay for months. I only found out when I got my annual free credit report and they had simply listed me as behind without any notice to me at all. Many phone calls and letters always resulted in them saying no problem, for sure autopay is set up and will be used. No autopay ever for six months now. Paid the last "past due" over the phone with them by authorizing direct withdrawal from my checking account. Guess what? They did not make that withdrawal either. I cannot tell if this is a scam or they are simply incompetent. I literally cannot force them to take my money. |

send all kinds of letters.no anwers. wife had ins in case.of died.
