I'm glad to see I'm not alone in this LFG scam. I was signed up over a year ago with Pivotal Payments/AKA Tangerine (also scammers!), and was promised that my current contract with my current merchant services would be canceled. It never was..... and when I contacted the sales rep. he kept promising that it would be, that it just took some time. I too had error messages, and "Transaction Not Complete" messages, when doing transactions, so I would swipe the card again, only to find out that my customers were being charged 2-3 times, but it was only being deposited once into my account. After dealing with a couple of irate customers, we started having to call the company and wait on hold for up to 20min while the client waited to see if the transaction went through once or multiple times. Unacceptable! When I contacted the company multiple times about this, they said there was nothing they could do, and it must just be the phone line it was connected to, although I had never had any problems with my other providers machine. Finally, I contacted the company, who said I had a non-cancellable lease, and there was nothing they could do for me. (as far as I knew, there was always a buy-out to get out of something.... but apparently these people own you for life!) After having battle after battle with them, and many harassing phone calls, I finally had the bank put stop payments on both companies, and filed a complaint with the BBB about Pivotal Payments (who I thought was who I signed the lease with, however, I have since found out the lease is actually for LFG, but the sales rep is hired from Pivotal.) The company then contacted me, to tell me that the sales rep had been let go, as he had apparently had multitudes of complaints against him, so I thought maybe the company would be more understanding. I again explained the situation about my customers being charged twice, and having not had the original merchant services lease canceled as promised. I explained that I felt I had been jerked around for the last 9 months and did not want to do business with such a company. Finally, she said OK and hung up. I thought I would be done with them at that time. Then, 20minutes later, I get a phone call from my original service provider who I had switched back to, who said they had received a phone call from Pivotal Payments to cancel my account with them, and they were calling to verify!!!!! That was about 3 months ago now, and every month I get bills in the mail from LFG, as well as them trying to debit my bank account (which the bank keeps reversing), and I get harassing phone calls daily. I finally tried to send the machine back with a letter stating for them to stop calling, and that I'm not paying a penny since their end of the contract was not upheld..... which got refused on their end and sent back to me.... so.... I guess I'm just going to have to hang up on them every day for the next 7 years, until they finally write me off.... |
